Hey
**
I feel like I woke up from a really bad dream but then I realize it's my reality. The guy that I like is a monster but there is also something sincere about him. My mind is just cloudy. I look up and I see a note on the end of my bed.
Rebecca,
We will be gone all day. Please no parties. Also we left three meals in the fridge but you could also order food I left $40 on the table.
Really, please no parties. Is that like a joke or something. This isn't actually that bad, a day to myself. I just need to keep myself from going to the basement. I get out of my room and go to the kitchen. I grab a pear and sit on the couch and watch some television. I walk back upstairs to take a shower. While I was in the shower the lights turned off and I had to turn the back on. I got back into the shower and they turned off again.
"Are you kidding me? stupid, old, house," I say out loud.
I finally rinse off and grab my towel and head to my room. I grab some clothes to put on and I turned some music on. The door bell rings and I go downstairs to see who it was. I look through the peep hole and see an older man with a dog.
"Hello?" I say.
"Could I use your phone," he says. "My car broke down a block down."
"Do you think you could use the next door neighbors phone?" I replied. "I'm not really suppose to let anyone inside the house."
"Oh, okay," he replies while walking away.
Maybe I should of let him use the phone. I mean it is just an old man. What is he going to do, kill me. I walk back to the kitchen to get a glass of water. When I take my first sip of water I realize that the back door is open.
"Shoot," I say out loud.
I go, close, and lock the door. I sit back down in the living room and drink my water. A few minutes later I hear a dog bark from upstairs, but I don't think anything about it. A few seconds later I realized we don't have a dog. I set the glass of water down trying to stay calm. I go to grab my phone to call the police.
"911 what is your emergency?"
"There is someone inside my house with their dog," I say.
"Are you sure mam'm?"
"I heard a dog bark," I say while walking to the door. "We do not have a dog."
"What's your address?"
"54 Thomas dr," I reply while hanging up and putting my phone into my pocket.
I grab a kitchen knife and walk through the living room. I heard the dog bark upstairs, but they could be anywhere now. I walk through the hallway where my room is and I am listening for any noises. I get to my door and take a step inside. I feel someone's hand push me inside and I hear the door close. I turn around and start screaming but I hear Brad's voice.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Wait what are you doing in my house?" I ask. "Actually, I do not care. Have you found that old guy in the house? I called the police."
"The police can't help," He says.
"Are you kidding me? They are the police," I say rather loudly.
There was a crash in the kitchen.
"Did you hear that?" Brad says.
"No, but I did hear a crash in the kitchen," I reply making sure I emphasize the sarcasm.
"You're cute," he says while grinning. "Follow me."
He opens the door and I follow behind.
"Do you want this?" I whisper showing him the knife.
"It could be useful." He replies while taking it.
We left the hallway and we're now in the living room. The dog runs out of the kitchen but runs right past us. Brad walks right into kitchen and I follow. In the corner is the older guy with a phone.
"Do you need something?" Brad says in a strong voice.
"I need to make a phone call," he replies. "You see my car broke down about a block down."
"I told you to go to the neighbors house." I say.
He doesn't reply but just looks at me. I hear the sirens coming from the police that I called about 10 minutes. I could have been dead by now but you know it is cool. I look for the thing that made the crash noise but I don't move. I see a broken picture frame in the living room. I look back and see the old man running at me with a piece of glass.
