"Want to do it together?" Draco whispered in my son Scorpius's ear as we all stood outside platform 9 3/4. He nodded shakily and my husband wrapped an arm around his son before running at the wall. They disappeared through it and I soon went after them with my daughter Kira.
"Mommy why can't I go to Hogwarts?" The little brown haired girl asked me with a pout.
"You will one day darling. Just be patient." I took her delicate hand and we made it over to Draco and Scorpius.
"I'm scared, what if I don't make friends." The blonde boy whimpered.
"You will, and you always have the Potters and Weasleys. That's the good part of having people like your family. They'll always be there for you." Draco reassured him. Scorpius nodded before hugging me and Kira goodbye. Then he looked at Draco before jumping into his arms. My husband chuckled and hugged him back.
"We'll miss you, dude. But you'll have fun at Hogwarts, I just know it." He set him down and ruffled his hair.
"Dad!" He complained as he fixed it. Me and Kira laughed. That when the train whistle blew.
"I gotta go. I'll owl you as much as I can. Love you." He said quickly before running over to Albus and tackling him in a hug. They all ran onto the train and sat in a compartment. We smiled as they waved at us and the train pulled out of the station.
I had tears in my eyes as I watched my only son go on the amazing journey to the school that completely changed my life. Draco wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me and Kira close to him. He kissed my head rubbed Kira's arm to comfort her.
"When can I go there, daddy?" Kira asked him as she looked up.
"Soon, sweetheart. Soon."
