~Corrupted Love: Absinthe x Dimentio fanfic~

Surviving the Night.

Absinthe saw the sun was beginning to set. She looked around for some sort of shelter, but with no luck. She dragged her feet to the nearest tree and sat under it. She closed her eyes and sighed. The wind chilled her spine as she settled into sleep.
Dimentio layed wide awake. He was so concerned about Absinthe, he couldn't get any sleep. It got to the point where he went down stairs and sat awake. He sighed and got a cup. He filled it with water and swigged. He tossed the glass into the sink. He sat at the kitchen table, thinking of all the ways he could save her. He was drowsing off into sleep when BOOM! Thunder. He jumped up, almost like it was a wake up call. He groaned.
Absinthe woke up to the Thunder booming. She shook from the thunder. She grabbed her sticks and stood up. It started. A drizzle started and Absinthe got concerned. "Oh no... no no no no.. WHY NOW?" The rain started falling faster and harder. She picked the sticks up and got on the move. Lightning started striking as Absinthe hurried down the grassy hill side. She stumbled a bit as she stopped at the lake. It was large and would take long to go around. Absinthe sighed and held her breath. She jumped in the lake and paddled to the other side, using her sticks as a float. She kept going under the water and rising back up with water in her mouth. She got to the end soaked. She crawled from the lake and coughed up the water. Her leg felt bare. She turned to look and noticed her make shift cast had slipped away in the water. She shook it off and continued on. She was trying to run but ended up hurting herself as she did so. She noticed something in the distance. "Hello?"  She called with no response. "Is someone there??" She yelled with no answer yet again. It was alive though, as it started moving. It was running towards her. She yelped and fell to the floor from losing balance. Who in the world would stay out in a thunder storm?? She thought to her self as it ran towards her. She winced in pain as she attempted to sit up. Something ran up to her. "Huh?" Absinthe said confused. It was too dark to see defining details. Absinthe backed up scared. Lightning shot down again as Absinthe slid too far back and went back in the water. She couldn't get up from under the water because of her injured leg. She panicked but suddenly someone, or something joined her in the water, but this was on purpose. Absinthe gulped in more water and choked. The thunder boomed as the figure came closer to her, and closer, and Absinthe was stuck. She wiggled weakly around. As she tried to look up into the night sky, it grew darker, And before she knew it , she blacked out.
