In still waters, sweet dreams lie in sorrow.

The day brings silence from hope felt in vain.

But trapped in the soul's pain of tomorrow,

By slowly dying, the soul did remain.

Taken from one's own pure heart and kind eyes,

A vow once borrowed was all but the truth.

Yet, love surpassed untold lies in disguise,

And lived in honor kept faithful with youth.

Love's thief replaced his gold heart with cold stone.

In time, the pure heart, true soul was unbound.

The yearning of yesterday stands alone,

A promise of love has yet to be found.

The sole heart burns and in still waters gleam,

Time heals all wounds when it's only a dream....
