It has been several days since Hünkar and Ali Rahmet met in the office. But from that day on, it's been impossible for her to get out of the mind what he said. She has been thinking since that day, what could he be trying to say? Can there be another version? Could there be another truth that I am not aware of?
As we all know, once she has something in mind she doesn't rest until she can solve it. So, she began her investigation.
It is known that the night Adnan was shot, apart from Fekeli, there were 3 other witnesses. Those 3 witnesses had already given their statements and when they gave their testimonies, Demir was able to send Ali Rahmet Fekeli to prison.
Now, in order to know what happened, she has to find the 3 witnesses of that night. Which implies a deep search, but it is not that she would do it publicly, she would do it without Demir realizing it.
Of the three witnesses, Hünkar learned that one had already died. And two more witnesses remained.
The next day, Hünkar receives a call. It is from the family of a dying man. She asked Raci to take her to the family home where she sits next to the man while his family is in the room with them. Husamettin, the dying man, is one of the witnesses that was present that night. He told her that he wanted to tell her a secret that he had kept for 20 years.
[talks with a shaking voice.]
Husamettin: That night, the night that Adnan died..
Hünkar: [listens carefully.] Hmm.
Husamettin: He...[stops but is unable to finish what he was about to say and dies.]
The death of this man, left her thinking about the words that Ali Rahmet told her, that one day she will get to know the truth about her husband's death.
Hünkar attended his funeral and Fekeli was also there. Their gazes collide once again as they both know the significance of this man's death. Now with only one witness left, Hünkar knew that she had to act fast before it's too late. Once she lost this opportunity there would be no going back.
The next and only living witness is Ali Riza Citci. And Hünkar had to find him as soon as possible. So she gave Gaffur the job of going to look for him. But what Hünkar does not know is that Demir had already hired Sait to take care of finding Ali Raza. Demir already knew that Husamettin had tried to tell Hünkar the truth and he did not want to risk a bit. He knows that his mom is not going to rest until she knows the truth so he had to work faster than her.
Meanwhile, Gaffur arrives in Maras, where Ali Raza is located. And Sait is also there. Sait found him first and Gaffur saw him, then Gaffur returned to the mansion and told Hünkar about Sait, who is also in search of the witness. Then she realizes that Demir is also trying to find him. Sait told Demir that he had already located the witness and he sent him money and told him to keep quiet. Which Sait did and the witness accepted the money, just as he did 20 years ago, under the same circumstances but this time Demir told him to take the wad of money and leave Maras.
But now Hünkar was not going to retract and she was not going to be defeated by Demir. She took the case in her hands and decided to go to Maras herself to visit Ali Raza. She told Gaffur to take the car and take her to Maras, where she saw Ali Raza packing up his house (as Demir ordered him).
[Hünkar confronts him and asks.]
Hünkar: Where are you going?
Ali Raza: Demir Yaman told me to flee. As Fekeli is after me for giving a false witness at your husband's murder trial.
Hünkar: A what? [shocked.]
Ali Raza: Yes, I lied. Because I was paid to do so, Demir Yaman paid me. But not just me, the other 2 witnesses as well.
Hünkar: But, what did really happened then?
Ali Raza: The night Adnan Yaman was killed, he was not unarmed. He took out his gun to shoot Fekeli and was about to but as soon Fekeli realized, he turned back and shoot Adnan as a act of self-defense. [keeps telling everything but Hünkar didn't even listened to him, as she was speechless.]
