It was a normal day like any other for Hünkar, as she was returning from the club. She got home, changed her clothes, and went downstairs to hang out with Haminne as usual.

Suddenly, Saniye enters with the newspaper that she had not read in the morning.

Saniye: Büyük Hanim, here is today's newspaper, this morning you couldn't read it.
Hünkar: Oh it's true, I forgot, sağol kizim! Can you bring Haminne's lunch please?
Saniye: Of course, I'll bring it right away.

[Saniye hands her the newspapers and goes to the kitchen.]

Hünkar begins to read the newspaper, turning the pages while reading them quickly, since nothing new caught her attention.
But suddenly, on the last page of the newspaper, there was this specific news that was about to change Hünkar's day or let's be honest, her life.

"Ali Rahmet Fekeli has been released from prison after a 20-year sentence for the murder of Adnan Yaman."
That was the headline of the last page, which shocked her and left her with nothing to say.

The news left Hünkar speechless, she did not know how to react or what to do. But she tried to act as calm as possible and try to assimilate what she had just read.

Hünkar: Saniye! Come here please.
Saniye: Here I am! And here is Haminne's lunch.
Hünkar: Thank you kizim! Ahh, Saniye, can you please feed Haminne her lunch, I need to go to the stables, to check on my horses. So, I won't be able to do it.
Saniye: Of course, don't worry! I will feed Haminne.

[Hünkar left the mansion from behind and went directly to the stables]

Hünkar reached to the stables, almost out of breath. It seemed that the news had left her with nothing to express. She knew that this was not just something ordinary, what she just read could change her life or who knows, maybe her destiny too. And she wasn't expecting it at all.

Thoughts haunted her, all she saw was Fekeli's face everywhere, because deep down she knew that he would come to see her one way or another or try to contact her.

And then what would she do? She convinced herself to hate him for having made her a widow, but she was also afraid of how she would react seeing him, after 20 years, face to face. There would be no words that would express what would happen if they see one another.
Ali Rahmet Fekeli, was not a common man for her, it was the man who killed her husband, who left Demir with no father and left her alone with a child to take care of.
Despite knowing the fact, that Adnan and Hünkar's marriage wasn't a "great marriage". It somehow affected her, for her son. He was the reason why Demir was left without his father's shadow, she actually didn't care of her being left a widow. But nevertheless, he killed her husband and that somehow didn't fit with her.

Hünkar: Oh my god, what shall I do now? How-?
[Takes a deep breath and talks to herself.]
What are you saying Hünkar, you are a strong woman! You should not care about any of this, if you have to face him, you will, you are not to blame for what happened. Just be strong and know that everything will be fine.
[She leaves the stables and goes for a walk around.]

It was almost noon and Demir arrived home, he seemed a bit angered, as he also read the news. He was heading to his room, but he heard his mother talking in the living room with Haminne and Züleyha. And Adnan playing with them.

[Demir enters in the living room]
Demir: Iyi akşamlar Anne! [kisses her cheek]
Hünkar: Ahh, Demir! How was your day?
Demir: It was...good!

[Demir kisses Haminne's hand and kisses Züleyha, then takes Adnan with him and sits down]

They all talked and played for a while, then Züleyha took Adnan upstairs. Demir and Hünkar stayed in the living room along Haminne.

[Demir couldn't resist to ask Hünkar about the news and so he proceeded to ask her]
Demir: Anne, can I ask you something?
Hünkar: I know what are you going to ask me and yes, I read the news.
Demir: Aghh! All this years I was relieved that my father's murderer was in jail paying the price of his crime. Which I still think is very much less. And now, he is free! How will I stand him anne?
Hünkar: Demir, sakin ol! Why should we bother? He doesn't have to do anything with us. But, listen, you will not do anything to him. Not even confronting him Demir, are you listening?
Demir: Tamam anne, don't worry!
Hünkar: Promise me.
Demir: Anne..
Hünkar: PROMISE ME!
Demir: Tamam, tamam. I promise, but if he says something or tries to get even closer to me, I won't stand him.
Hünkar: Nothing of that sort will happen, alright? Don't worry, just ignore him and you will be fine.

[Hünkar leaves and goes to her bedroom. Changes her clothes and goes to the terrace. She sits down and stayed there.]

And while the night passed, thousands of thoughts haunted her. Who knows what she was thinking, but her thoughts had everything. Fear, nostalgia, a little resentment and maybe some kind of pain. I'm not talking about that pain of losing someone or that something happened to you. Rather that pain that fills you with constant memories, that makes you think of someone from the past, someone who owes you something, someone who is connected to your life, someone who brings back memories of a past life.
She knew and something told her that she will soon have to face Fekeli. She knew that he would look for her, that he would try to talk to her but something did not stop her from thinking about him or the moment of their meeting.
But what was bothering her? Why is she so concerned about facing him? It is not fear, because she is not afraid of anything. It is something else.
Maybe it isn't the fact that she had to face him for killing her husband, because none of that mattered to her anymore. Years had passed and she had already overcome it. But there was something or there is something, something between them, something that only she knew or he also knew, let's say that only the two of them knew. A secret? A memory? or maybe something else..a forbidden love? And she knows, EVERYTHING CAN CHANGE.
[And that's how the night passed, a dark and cold night full of a constant war of between her feelings.]
