"Just go, harps. Aren't you hungry?" Arnav heard some muffled noises.

"I'm not."

"Don't lie." Someone whisper-yelled.

"Be quiet. He'll wake up."

Arnav's brows formed a V, as he fluttered his eyes open. Turning his head to the side, he saw Arpita and Addison, the only two people in his world, arguing in whispers. A small smile made its way on his face, just for a brief second.

Addy met his eyes, "Ah! You're awake... How do you feel?" He approached the bed, worried.

"I'm fine," Arnav got up.

He regretted letting Addy drag him into the rain. This fever had made him feel so weak. Though it was already gone, one night was more than enough for him to learn his lesson.

Arnav noticed Arpita pouting, silently standing near the edge of the bed. He raised his brow at her, his face stern, continuing to stare at her.

She knew he wanted her to think he was fit and fine. The corner of her lips rose upwards, her eyes holding on to her concern. As if his act could fool her anymore.

"Harps, you go eat now," Addy nudged her.

Arpita told him to shut up, silently, with her eyes. Addy glared back at her, telling her to leave now.

Arnav checked the time on Addy's watch, grabbing his wrist. Immediately fuming, he turned to her, "What are you doing here? Five more minutes and there will be no food."

"I was just worried about you," she pouted.

"You don't need to worry about me. Not when you can't even take care of yourself. Do that first. That's enough."

Her cheeks reddened. "Okay."

"Go, then," he dragged, irritated that she was going to miss her breakfast.

"I'm going. Jeez." She laughed.

"Stop laughing! It's not a joke," he growled, as she left the room with a smile on her face. Having heard him say that a lot of times before.

He never understood what made her laugh when he was being dead serious. "Why can't she ever understand?" He asked himself.

"You know how she is." Addy shook his head. "...It's true love," he sang, "-reserved for you."

Arnav glared daggers at him. "She would have done the same thing if you were ill too. She's just foolish."

"Word it correctly. Selfless." Addy corrected.

"Whatever," Arnav turned away, crossing his legs and sitting comfortably on his bed.

"She would have cared for me the same way. But it's still different."

"It's not. Now shut it."
