As dad drove into the neighborhood early this morning at 6. I let the fact the we are actually moving sink in. I hated the fact we had to move I was not only leaving my childhood home behind, but also my friends, my high school and my popularity.
I had planned on attending all my high school years there and after graduating I planned on going to a local community college.
Mom said it gives me a new experience and time to start over. honesty she doesn't know what she's talking about, she's halfway out of her mind. With the whole business worker thing she's never at home and doesn't care about me.
I took a good look outside the window catching a glimpse at the large beautiful houses. I noticed how many of them looked identical only the color of the shutters and the yards made them differ.
Pulling into a drive way, I saw the house that we are going to be supposably staying in. It had two floors along with a basement, 4 bedrooms (including two master bedrooms and two guest), and a jack and Jill bathroom linked to the office that my mom was going to using. The outside having red shutters and a big green beautiful yard. I wouldn't mind rolling around in the grass by the way it looked, soft.
Stepping out the truck first I took in a deep breathe of the fresh new air and the environment. Peering over at the drive way two doors down I saw a teen boy around my age group taking out the trash. He wore a comfortable looking gray hoodie, khaki cargo pants, and a pair of red vans. His hood was over his head so I couldn't get a good look at his face.
"Melissa," my mom said and called my name to come help start unloading the truck. That's great I don't get the chance to get a good stretch in after sitting down in a stinky moving truck for 5 hours since our last stop at a near by gas station.

After hours of moving in boxes and bags into the house and placing them in their designated area we finally finished. I took the time to looked around the house to see what we were going to be living in. I saw house opened and cozy the place felt despite the boxes being everywhere. Walking in to the kitchen i right away noticed the island in the middle of the kitchen. It always wanted one just to feel like Rachel Ray on her cooking show. It had a while marble counter and black oak cabinets the floors were tiled. The utilities were all stainless steel. I loved it already. Knowing that I was going to be the only one cooking in it. I could already see it Apple Pie with ice cream next to it. Mmm, let me stop.
Waving through the boxes I walked up the stairs to find my room. Getting to the top I made a left turn seeing a partially opened door. I place my hand on the door pushing the door opened more to see a room with light purple walls, a walk in closet (for the very little clothes and shoes I do have), a glass desk, and a cozy cove. My face lifted with excitement seeing it. I've always imagined having one to read and write it and the book shelves made things even better. I could spend days sitting here in this very room in silence reading my favorite book Lovely Bones and drinks a cup of tea.
Once I calmed down from getting over excited about my room I unpack a few boxes of books I had. And down stairs I could here mom and dad arguing once again about the pots and pan box and where it should've been. don't worry you will get used to the bickering throughout the next few weeks.
After eating a microwaveable dinner I took a well deserved shower and threw on my pajamas. My bed wasn't quite made yet but I didn't care. Laying down across it he closed my eyes drifting asleep.
