Okay, soooo, I thought it would be fun if T.J uses 1860's slang words when he talks, resulting in making everyone confused. So, as a little guide to T.J's slang, and to prevent a lot of confusion , I will put a list of the slang words I've used and their meanings at the bottom of this page.
And now I hope you will enjoy this chapter!

Leo's POV
The Germani-guy and the Rachel-clone immediately stopped fighting and turned towards the group. The girl absolutely did look exactly like Rachel, except that she was much shorter. But she had the same curly red hair, the same face shape and green eyes. She too wore one of those green t-shirts with the letters HV on, but it wasn't splattered with paint as Rachel's shirts always were. The Germani-guy had half-long hair and a full beard, both the same redish brown color. He wore a grey, sleeveless shirt and khaki shorts. He had leather straps around his wrists, and a strap over the back held a huge battle-axe that made Leo feel a little intimidated. But he actually didn't look very dangerous when he smiled at Magnus and Alex and scratched his neck.
"Hey, guys. We didn't have any luck, so we decided it was best to take a break and a snack", he smiled and held up a paper bag with something inside.
The uniform guy took off his blue cap and revealed practically cut curly, black hair. He also had some sort of gray, rock-like lump on his forehead. Leo noticed that the others also saw it, but no one mentioned it. His dark blue uniform looked like it belonged in the 1860's, in the American Civil War.
"Yup, the search was a flummox. But not for you, obviously", he agreed with Germani-guy and gestured towards Leo and the others. Eeh, bum?, Leo thought, but his thoughts were interrupted by Magnus.
"Greeks and Romans", Magnus began and introduced them to his friends.
The soldier-boy was named Thomas Jefferson Jr. (Nicknamed T.J) the Rachel-clone was introduced as Mack (to which she responded with a grimace and a rant of cuss words in some other language before she said: "My name is Mallory, not Mack, Beantown", to Magnus), and the Germani-guy's name was Halfborn.
"Halfborn? That's an unusual name...", Frank stated. Hazel nodded and looked at Halfborn.
"It sounds a bit... rude to name your child Halfborn", Leo thought out loud, and immediately regretted it because Halborn's fingers twitched and his eyebrows narrowed.
"My mother wasn't rude! She was the nicest person I knew!", he grumbled angrily , before T.J nudged him in the arm as if to remind him that Leo and his gang were friends, not enemies.
"Halfborn is kind of touchy when it comes to his mom and hometown. But don't worry, he's actually a huge galoot", T.J apologized and flashed some pearly whites.
Halfborn growled "I'm not a galoot", and glared at T.J.
"Yes you are", T.J teased him friendly.
"I would've killed you if we weren't outside here", Halfborn growled, and it seemed like he really meant it. That was to go a little far, Leo thought. And it seemed like the others had the same thoughts (Well, not the Norse demigods. They seemed perfectly fine with the fact that their friend was threatening to kill their other friend).
                              Percy's POV
At least Percy wasn't as confused as his friends. He'd known about the Norse mythology-world for about two years, and he'd met Magnus and Alex before. That didn't stop him from being incredibly annoyed with the fates for messing up his vacation. He didn't even care to wish that this problem lord Raven-Dude shoved upon them was just something simple they could fix in a day, and then go back to relaxing. Nope, that would be too easy. The quest would probably include lot's of nasty monsters and dangers and a high possibility of death. Not exactly the peaceful summer vacation he wanted.
But hey! That's how life is when you're a demigod!, Percy thought
He'd never have an easy summer. Last summer, Percy had met two Egyptian magicians, temporarily became a vulture goddess and almost died several times. The summer before that, it was that Cyclopes lair inside a funhouse (Apparently Cyclopes love slides and distorting mirrors and such. Percy, on the other hand, had decided that he hated funhouses), the thelkines, and yeah, you get it.
While the others were making small talk, Percy noticed that Magnus looked at something across the street, behind Percy, with a thoughtful expression. Percy turned around to see what he was looking at. It was one of those fancy fashion boutiques that Percy always ignored because they were way too expensive for him, and he never wore fancy clothing anyways. The display windows showed colorful suits and velvet pillows with glimmering accessories.
Percy went over to his girlfriend's cousin. It was pretty weird to be honest. Two years since he'd met Magnus, and the boy didn't look a day older. Literally, he hadn't aged a day. Percy thought of it. He was pretty dam happy he wasn't stuck in his sixteen years old body for the rest of eternity. That totally would've sucked.
"What's inside there?", Percy asked Magnus, who used a second to register the question.
"Huh? Oh, fancy clothes for everyday stuff,  formal occasions, questing and battles. And also practical accessories."
That seemed like an odd fashion boutique, it certainly didn't look like it sold chain-mail waistcoats. But Percy had had his own share of odd stuff, so he decided to go with it.
With his green t-shirt and worn jeans, Magnus wasn't someone you'd expect to be interested in top fashion, but whatever. Percy wasn't gonna judge.
"So you want to go shopping? I don't think this is the right time for finding a new, fancy questing-outfit"
"Nah, I need to talk to a friend"
Then Magnus started to walk towards the shop, so Percy said to his girlfriend that they'd be back in a sec and walked after him.
The shop was no less fancy on the inside. There were stacks with paisley scarves, mannequins modeling colorful suits, racks with shirts and waistcoats and- Wait, is that an actual chain mail waistcoat?, Percy thought when he saw something silver-y amongst the waistcoats. There was even fancy socks with different patterns and colors. While he tried to take in everything, Magnus didn't pay the clothes much attention. He walked straight towards the cash register, where two boys around 15 sat and talked about something Percy couldn't hear. When they saw Magnus come, they straightened and said hello to him.
"Percy, this is Kit and Ty, they're staying at the Chase Space, but they work here for Blitz sometimes. Kit, Ty, this is Percy; Annabeth's boyfriend. He's here on summer vacation.", Magnus introduced them to each other in a voice that said that he wanted to get to some point.
The two boys greeted Percy with a nod and a "hey". They didn't look very homeless. Both boys had seemingly newly cut and washed hair, and they both wore expensive-looking, tailor made suits like they came straight out of an ad for the boutique. Percy also noticed that whoever chose the colors for the suits had put a lot of effort in it. Both boys had colors that made their eyes pop. Kit, sitting casually on top of the cash register, had a sandy, almost gold-like suit with a nice, blue tie that really complemented his sky blue eyes. Ty, leaning over the desk, wore a black suit with slightly darker details on the fabric that turned his eyes into steely pools of grey.
"Is Blitz here? I need to talk to him'', the blond demigod asked the well-dressed teens with a slightly impatient voice.
"Nah", the equally blond Kit answered, to which the black-haired Ty added: "He went out a little while ago in some errand for the shop. He said it would take about an hour", matter-of-factly.
Percy felt a little outside of the conversation, so he went over and admired a detailed wave patterned tie, but he could still hear what the only others in the room talked about.
"What about Hearth? Is he here?"
"Nope, I dunno where he is, maybe with Blitz, or at the Chase Space"
"Why do you need to talk to him?"
"Uh, nothing important, really. I'll check the Chase Space, see ya later", Magnus answered and turned to Percy and nodded to the door as if to say that they were going.
So they stepped into the sun, only to find their friend gone. Percy half jogged a little up and down the street to see if they had moved a little one of the ways.
"Uh, Percy? What are you looking for?"
"For Annabeth and the others, of course! Can't you see that they're gone?", he answered anxiously. How did he not see?
"Dude, relax"
Relax? He could never relax if he didn't know Annabeth was safe. He could not let her disappear any more. They'd promised to never get separated again.
A strong hand gripped his shoulder, and Magnus span him around and waved the brown, fat-flecked paper bag Halfborn had held, now empty, in his face. Something was written on it, but the sharp, harsh hand it was written in didn't make it any easier for his dyslexia brain to understand it.
"They went to the Chase Space, and left this on the table. I tried to tell you", in the most Annabeth-y way imaginable, adding more to their similarities and making it even more obvious that they were family.
Percy felt as if the heaven was lifted off of his back, and he finally saw that the letters said "At the Chase Space".
In a relived voice, he said: "So why are we standing here, let's catch up with them, they can't be very far ahead"

Guide to T.J's slang:
Flummox: Failure
Galoot: Strong, soft-hearted man
Sorry that this took so long and that it's so short! On top of a lot of school before the holiday I've been struggling with writer's block. I was so determined to write a lot during the vacation, but I never got myself to do it. So I apologize for this chapter that could've been better planned and written, but I know more of what I want to write next. Also, I decided that I will write every other chapter from this and my other book, Murderers of the Night (check that out if you haven't, and I would love to get some feedback on it), so the next one will be there.
I added some references to other books and such for fun, and because I love stuff like that, can someone find them?
Thank you so much for reading my stuff, and please leave feedback if you want to!
