and it begins....

He stared at his front door, sweating beyond normal as nervousness ate him from the inside out. He clenched his jacket in his hands and sighed out only to notice the light in Victoria's room was turned on.

His heart became light and he immediately sprung up the stairs, running into the mansion like a crazed lunatic.

This isn't happening.....

She stayed!

He smiled out as he rushed up the stairs, refusing to wait for the elevator. Hardly getting tired as he ran two steps at a time with his jacket in his hands.

He finally reached the floor, panting with his chest rising and falling dangerously as his body trembled in the sudden exercise. But it wasn't enough to stop him. He hurriedly walked cross the floors, waiting to embrace her in a hug. He reached her door and his heart couldn't contain the excitement.

"Victoria I honestly tho-" he opened the door only to freeze when it was just the maid, changing the bedsheets.

"Oh sir... You're home." Ella bowed as she stopped spreading the bed. "I was just exchanging the sheets."

"Victoria... Where is she?" He asked as he noticed the cradles still there.

"She... Left with your father that same morning sir. She hasn't called or said anything. Neither did your father." She said and he sighed out shakily as he dropped the jacket to the floor and leaned against the wall in defeat, listening as his own heart grew silent... And cold. "Sir, I assume you haven't eaten, may I-"

"No. Just... Go rest." He said weakly as he began to unbutton his shirt, alerting her to run out as fast as she could not to defile her boss.

She closed the door on her way out and he sighed out, falling onto the bed with a loud thud, accepting emotional defeat.

She didn't tell him where she was or what she was doing.

Was this just... Her way of erasing me from her future? He thought to himself as he stared at the cradles just in front of him, empty and missing two gorgeous baby girls.

Tears simply slid out of his eyes and onto the bedcovers, yet he wasn't breaking down and crying. His brain was already suffering from a headache and had grown tired of crying all day.

He slowly shut his eyes, giving himself  a break from the crying and pain and internal agony.

He just wanted peace.

Some sleep will do....

*****

"HOW LONG WILL YOU BE SLEEPING!?" Derek forced his eyes open at the sudden thunder from his father. He squinted his eyes as the light in the room burned through his eyes, showing no mercy. "It's ten!"

"Give me a break." Derek groaned as he turned over to his side. "You stole Victoria and my girls away from me. The least you could do is let me sleep."

"I'm disappointed in you." He said then slapped the back of Derek's head, making him flinch. He immediately sat up in anger.

"Father I'm twenty nine now!" Derek yelled in anger as he threw his pillow into Eugene's face. "Stop with that!"

"Then you should stop sleeping in late!" Eugene thundered and Derek frowned as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"I'm tired of this.... I'm emotionally drained right now. I got rejected and I now have no one..." He bit on his lower lip as Victoria crawled into his mind. "So let me sleep the whole holiday today. Please."

"No." Eugene sighed out and grabbed hold of his leg then forcedly pulled him off the bed. Derek tried to stop himself from falling but to no avail, he crushed onto the ground on his butt.

He flinched in pain and groaned as he held his thighs.

"Dad...." He cried out in pain and Eugene sighed out.

"Come on, we're going on a vacation today!" He said and Derek rolled his eyes.

"I'm not coming." He said as he tried to crawl onto the bed only to have his father grab his leg once more and pull him towards the bathroom. "Bath quick or we'll be doing this all day."

"Just leave me alone..." He whispered out to himself in agony.

"What was that!?" Eugene thundered and Derek stood up shakily still feeling the pain from his hips.

"Nothing." He sighed out and walked into the bathroom, still feeling his hips sting.

He stepped into the shower cubical once he got himself undressed and began to shower fast enough so his father wouldn't break the door down for him to hurry it up.

In a couple of minutes, he walked out only to have his father throw a chosen pair of clothes directly in his eyes.

He frowned at his father but still walked back into the bathroom and pulled them on. Sighing once more, he stared into the mirror, only to notice how dead his eyes were. He reached for the moisture bottle and applied a few just where the dark spots and fluffiness were. The lotion hardly masked it but it was still okay, better than before.

He combed his hair a bit and walked out of the room only to gasp when his father grabbed his wrist and ran out the room.

"Where are we going!?" Derek asked as they rushed down the stairs, hardly using the elevator. "Dad come on, your old for this! How much energy do you have!?"

"I don't get these muscles out of thin air boy." He chuckled and Derek nearly tripped off a stair. To his luck, they made it down the stairs in time.

He still didn't let go as he ran towards the car waiting outside with Derek's hand still in his.

As they reached the car, his father playfully shoved him into the car and Derek cursed under his breath for having a childish father.

"To the airport!" He smiled and the driver nodded with Winston in the passenger seat, also dressed for the vacation.
