//Sorry for the delay )): I've had a bit of a writer's block recently and lack of interest in this story since I had absolutely no idea what to do since the next event that I know will happen needs some time in between. But now I have a vague idea of some things that I will cram to this point.
Also thank you so much for 500 reads! To me it's a lot and I'm grateful for everyone who has checked my story out 😊😊//
”Hey… Aren’t you Katsuki Bakugou? From UA?”
This is why Bakugou would rather not go home during weekends. Yes, staying at the dorms got hella boring, but Bakugou had no idea how to talk to strangers that recognized him.
The first time that had happened was after the slug monster attacked him.
His name and face had been all over the news, so it was just a matter of time when it would happen. He hated it immediately.
First of all, he didn’t like talking to people, especially strangers. He hated the look they got when a person who they had expected to be all sunshine turned out to be rude and not interested in the conversation at all.
He hated the way their faced scrunced up in disgust and anger, how they turned away, muttering how he’d never have their support.
Bakugou may have said he didn’t care what everyone thought about him, but if he was completely honest, maybe it did sting a bit.
”Yes. What do you want”, he growled, turning his head towards the person who had adressed him.
”Well I just wanted to say my daughter thinks you’re really cool and was wondering if I could get your autograph for her? She really admires you. She saw you at the sports festival and ever since wanted to become a hero, just like you.”
”I don’t see how seeing my name on a paper will help her out with her dream. Now get out of my way, this is my stop”, he said and pushed past the middle-aged woman, who turned back to stare at him in shock. It wasn’t his stop, but he really wanted to get out of the situation. There was a lot of kids who wanted to become heroes and putting their hopes up like that was just cruel. He could walk a couple hundread meters to the spot where his dad had agreed on picking him up.
”Hey, Katsuki. How are you? We’ve missed you”, his dad said the second he sat on the passenger’s seat.
”I’m fine, I guess. Just tired.”
”Well that’s understandable with a long week behind. Me and your mom have been good. We got a big offer last week and now we have been working on it like crazy. It’s for this magazine that does a lot of work with celebrities and so on. They have had a lot of articles about heroes too, you know...”Bakugou zoned out as his dad continued with the magazine and other work-related things. He couldn’t have cared less, but let his dad talk. He would do that anyway.
He brought his thoughts back to the subject of his name somehow ending up on that shitty list. His best guess was Midoriya. That nerd worried too much for his own good. And he did know about Bakugou’s hobby. But on the other hand- would he do that? Bakugou had clearly said he didn’t want to be in the band and the boy had listened. But then again he had showed a video of him singing to that class B extra and then it had somehow ended up to the rest of the class.
And speaking about Monoma, it could have been him too. That kid would do anything to bring the class A to bad light. In a way that was understandable- his class was completely outshined by the class A. But then again it was really getting on Bakugou’s nerves and the boy could absolutely overdo it. And Midoriya had said something about him commenting about how Bakugou had acted.
Or it could have been someone completely random, just wanting some drama and didn’t have the nerves to face Bakugou by themselves.
Well, it didn’t matter right now. He had other things to worry about. He’d get to the subjet later.
The car finally pulled to their driveway and Bakugou immediately jumped out, gtting his shuffle bag from the trunk. As his dad locked the car,he rushed to the door, his keys ready.
”Hey Katsuki! How are you? Dinner should be ready in about ten minutes”, his mother called the second he stepped inside the apartment.
”Fucking fine! I’m tired”, he shouted back.
”Don’t even think about yelling like that, okay?” the woman yelled herself.
”AAH! YOU’RE YELLING YOURSELF, OLD HAG!”
”WHAT NOW? YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS HAVING ATTITUDE LIKE THAT THE SECOND YOU GET INSIDE, BRAT, IS THAT CLEAR?”
”WHATEVER!”, Bakugou yelled and continued, muttering ”Hypocrite.”His dad, who had followed his son inside sighed. There really wasn’t a way to have a peaceful weekend with his family, was there?
Bakugou threw his shoes off and marched upstairs. He didn’t feel like being with his parents, who’d without a doubt ask about his week that definetely hadn’t been the best.
He was about to go put his clothes to the washinng machine, since he rather washed his clothes at home than at the dorms, he got a phone call. Checking the id of the caller, he was surprised. Why would Midoriya call him? If he had something important, he would have said it before going home.
”What”, he grumbeled to the phone after picking it uo and pressing it between his ear and shoulder, continuing his previous task.
”Hey Kacchan, um, sorry for calling you so suddenly, but I forgot my history book at my dorm and can’t do the homework. So I was wondering if I could borrow your book since you’re...” the boy started.
”No, shitty Deku! What makes you think I would give my book to you?” Bakugou barked. The other side of the line was quiet for a second.
”Well I thought since you live so close and I could come get it and return it tomorrow morning...”
”Well you thought wrong! I’m not giving my book to your clumsy ass!” he yelled and hang up. He had else to do than worry about than that idiot’s problems.
