Chapter 3: The Pre-Attack

-1 Day till battle

Xanatos sees Rin and walks up to her. “Where is he” Xanatos demands with fury behind his words. Rin turns around and looks confused at Xanatos. “Who the hell are you looking for” Rin replies shocked with the state Xanatos was in. Xanatos even more annoyed turns around while his hair starts to sway with the wind. Now directly looking at his target he flies right at them with the speed of an eagle swooping for their prey. Lance only just noticing his “hunter” activates one of his spells. At the speed of light Lance punches Xanatos in the chest sending him through the air into the wall at the other end of the hall. “The hell do you want, you flying moron” Lance shouts at the man who now is jammed in a brick wall.

“The hell is wrong with you, hitting me with that much force” Xanatos replies coughing up blood everywhere. In less than a second lance was in front of Xanatos. Grabbing his hand Lance pulls Xanatos out of the wall.

“Wow, he really is the strongest in the school.” Says a student looking at all the damage Lance did in one punch.

“That and he managed to move 100 metres without us even seeing him do it.” Another student points out. Now on his feet Xanatos looks at Lance.

“What the hell was that move you just used” Xanatos says while trying not to fall over.

“Well that was what I was working on the other day, I call it Light Step” Lance explains sounding proud that he could finally show off the speed of his new spell.

“How far can you go with it” Xanatos ask with some curiosity.

“Well each 100 metres is equivalent to about 400 Microseconds, so it would take me 4 seconds to go a Kilometre” Lance answers Xanatos with some more information that Xanatos probably wanted.

“Well see you, I need to go help with the supplies” Xanatos says while activating a spell. Lance turns and walks down the halls.

“Finally, I mastered it” Thelix shouts with joy after mastering his new spell. Thelix remembers that he is the only one in the hall and now looking a bit depressed walks out the rear door to go outside. “Wow didn’t think it was this nice out here” Thelix says while looking around the area he hasn’t been before. ”I’m surprised to see another person out here, usually none comes here anymore after what happened” Natsumi says to Thelix. Turning around Thelix sees Natsumi sitting on a ledge. “What do you mean after what happened” Thelix asks Natsumi who had stood up. “Well I will give you the short version, come hold my hand and you will see” Natsumi says to Thelix signalling him to hold her hand. Thelix walks over and grabs her hand, a magic circle forms on the ground and they disappear into what looks to be like a dream. “This is what you wanted to know” Natsumi explains. Thelix looks around and sees what seems to be a younger Sialeth and Lance. Thelix could see the other 5 Gates in what seems to be an old room, which is no longer there.

“So what will it be Lance” Sialeth asks the student in front of him. Lance cracks his knuckles and charges at Sialeth with intense speed. Sialeth ducks under a kick and grabs his leg from behind setting it on fire.

“Arrrgh, it burns” screams Lance in pain. Sialeth distinguishes the flame and Lance gets back on his feet. “You really want to do this” Sialeth asks while setting fire around his hands.

“Of course, who doesn’t want to be the 7th gate” Lance replies. Lance charges in again but with a difference tactic this time. He runs around Sialeth and left kicks Sialeth who blocks it with his hand. Lance then flips smashing Sialeth to the ground with his Right leg.

“Darn… didn’t think you could keep calm after being blocked”. Sialeth said why being pretty cocky.

“You should know that you’re pretty weak” Lance replies trying to act cool. Sialeth turns at him and starts to get enraged.
