"I cannot believe you got us kidnapped- Oh wait yes I can! This is something I can definitely believe you would do Shawn!" Lassiter snaps at the man tied to him. Trying to keep his body as far from Shawn's as possible Lassiter looks around the dark cabin.
"Oh calm down Lassie-face, I can get us out of here let me just-"
"No Shawn don't do anything, you've helped enough. I'm head detective, I can get us out of here. You just sit back and don't touch anything." As Lassiter tries to peer through the darkness Shawn. The next hour is quiet. Lassiter spends it trying to cut the rope tying him to Shawn with a very blunt fire poker. Just as the rope snaps the door to the cabin opens. Quickly Lassiter stands up brandishing the poker as if it were a sword and he expert swordsman is in a 1800's duel. Only to find the person at the other end to be-
"Shawn!?"
"Hello Lassie I see you finally got free, while you were busy I was getting some dinner I hope you don't mind. I have half of a chicken sandwich for you though if you want it." Staring at the half-eaten sandwich in Shawn's hand Lassiter's eye starts twitching.
"How" Lassiter says slowly, "did you get out?"
Holding up his hand Shawn points to his wrist "Having exceptionally small wrists makes it very easy to slip out of loosely tied knots. What's with that look Lassie? Why are you so angry I offered you the rest of my sandwich?"
"Whatever Shawn, I'm getting out of here so I can actually solve this crime."
"Oh no need to worry about that Lassie I already did."
"What do you mean you already did?"
"I already solved the crime, the people who kidnapped us are-" Just then the door locks behind Shawn trapping the two men in the cabin once again. Lassiter runs to the door jiggling the handle trying to open it. After multiple failed attempts he gives up.
"So who did it Shawn?"
"Oh I have no idea."
This is only part one since I have decided to make it a slightly longer story rather than a one off!
