Not Alone

I woke up early, got dressed then Nick showed up at my door. I smiled at him. He smiled back.

"Ready to go pick up our daughter for school?" Nick asked.

"Sure." I said.

I grabbed my phone and wallet then we ran to Alexis' house. Why did we run? No one knows why.

We bursted through the door, not thinking. We ran into the kitchen and Zayn was making pancakes.

"Well hello." Zayn said as he set the table. We sat down as he grabbed extra plates.

"Hi." I said.

"Where is our daughter?" Nick asked and Zayn smiled.

"She is getting ready, but she will be down in a minute." Zayn answered and I nodded. "So when did y'all even get married?"

"Like yesterday. We gave each other ring pops." I explained. "Now we have a daughter that is a month younger than Nick and three months younger than me."

"Wow." Zayn laughed.

"We are the best." Nick said as I put my arm around him.

"Yup." I said and we smiled at each other as Liam and Alexis came from the living room.

"Dad!" Alexis yelled as she ran over and hugged us both.

"Hey!" Nick and I both yelled.

"Are y'all both called Dad?" Liam asked.

"You call me Pops and you call Nick Dad. Okay?" I asked. Alexis smiled, nodding.

We ate breakfast then walked to school together.
