Chapter 11 || Temptations

V E N I C E

I finally gave up on waiting for someone to answer the door, I knew they were inside so why didn't they answer? Harry really is a dickhead. But deep down I knew I had feelings for him which I didn't want, I'm happy with Calum and all of my friends I don't need to cheat on Calum for Harry and turn into my dad, I never want that to happen.

I left the door of the house and made my way to my own house and towards the side my room was located on. I was lucky my mum loved plants and especially roses that hang 'elegantly' from the side of houses. I didn't really care about them, they were just a help in getting in and out of my room.

I climbed up the wall stepping on and breaking some of the roses with my converses, mom would throw a fit but I was cold and the front door was locked. Once I was inside I closed my window immediately and got changed out of the stupid short clothes. I changed into my black 1975 shirt, high waisted blue jeans and a pair of black Adidas sneakers. I'd probably call Erin and Bree to see if they wanted to do something.

Just as I was going to call Bree, the silent house suddenly became loud with knocks from the front door. I squinted my eyes and shook my head, something I'd always done when I was confused. Who'd be here, maybe it was mom.

I slowly made my way downstairs not in any rush to answer my front door, she didn't open the door for me so why should I to her. The knocks on the door boomed through the house loudly and I knew that wasn't my mother knocking, she knew not to knock harshly at me or I wouldn't answer.

I opened the door to revel Harry in the same clothes he wore at school.

"What?" I said rolling my eyes and leaving the door way and towards the lounge room knowing he would follow.

"Why didn't you come over to my house?" He said his accent making his word seem slow.

"I did but no answered. Tea?" I asked and he nodded.

After that he didn't talk and just sat on a stool in front of the kitchen counter watching me make tea for the both of us. I got quiet, but not the awkward quiet Harry and I often encounter, it was a comfortable quiet as we waited for the kettle to boil.

Harry's head leant to the side and made a funny face at me as I stood in front of him. I let out a giggle and immediately clamped my hand over my mouth as Harry laughed, his head rolling back and his arm held his stomach. I never knew me giggling was that funny.

I smiled as I watched him laugh. He looked younger and he didn't have the creases in his forehead from frowning to much, his dimples popped, his bright white teeth shined and his emerald eyes squeezed closed. He looked happy and that's what he should be like always, just a happy Harry.

"I've never heard you giggle Venice." He said rubbing a small tear away from his eye still slightly chuckling.

"It's embarrassing." I usually didn't laugh or giggle, I'd give a smile and be on my way.

"It's cute." You're cute.

I smiled at him again and went back to making the tea as the kettle had just boiled.

"Do you miss your dad?" Harry asked out of the blue as I placed his cup of tea in front of him.

He knew my dad was gone, he was never here but he didn't know if I still saw him or not or even when my father had left us. Why was he asking now?

"He left when I was ten and I'm now eighteen, he's been gone for eight years so not really." I shrugged my shoulders, blowing at the hot tea to cool it down.
