The sun was setting with its glorious hues of orange, red, melted into purple, blue- a soft image to end my day with. By this time, it was around six, a Saturday, the last weekend of summer before school.
Seated in my chair on my personal verandah upstairs, which was by my room, I watched the sky as the clouds formed colonies of vapour, as my environment seemed to darken, and the beautiful glow of the sun disappeared while thinking of this new feeling I felt. It was so refreshing- breathing in and out without pain, starting to think like a normal human.
Feeling cramped a little, I stood from my chair and proceeded to lean against the balcony instead. It was drizzling by now, and the temperature seemed to drop, making me a bit chilly.
This was my year. I could feel it. A year of self-love and maturity. As thoughts flooded my mind of how I could bring myself to the position where I wanted to be at, I decided to start off simple. A name. Since I'm a different person now, I need a name to represent me.I needed a name. A name which identified with me personally. A name which described and symbolised me like all the high classed important people I know. Like those superheroes we hear about.
"Sparrow"Sparrow. I don't know how that name came to mind, but all I know is that I was searching for one. The only thing I can say is that it must be one of God's mysterious work. So, trusting in Him, I accepted that name. It sounded as simple, beautiful and effective like how I wanted it to be. Wonderful.
"Elena?"
"Elena! What are you doing out there! Don't you see its raining?"Hearing this screechy voice brought me out of my reverie, and I turned around in shock to face my fumed mother, with hands akimbo.
"Huh?" I dumbly asked.
"Child. Get inside. Its dark, cold and dinner is ready." Hmm... She was calmer now. Thats good.
"Ok mom."
