Tsukishima awoke to see (Y/N) brushing her hair in her school uniform
Tsukishima just watched her as she tied her hair up, she looked... Lighter?
He didn't know how to describe it but the girl seemed to be more comfortable around him than before. (Y/N) reached into her bag and pulled out a bottle of Foundation gently applying it to her wrist hiding all evidence of the bruise. Unaware of the blonde boy behind her watching her every move.
To say Tsukishima was angry was an understatement, He wanted to kill her father, He didn't understand how someone could want to hurt her.
He had so many questions for her, but he knew better than to keep pushing. The last thing he wanted to do was scare her.
Tsukishima sighed and (Y/N) turned to see the blonde boy awake
"Good morning~" (Y/N) smiled at him,
after telling Tsukishima last night she felt so much better. Sure she had Iwaizumi but he was a different school now, Y/N knew if she ever needed help he would rush overs. But sometimes its nice just having someone around.
Tsukishima just grumbled something about it being too early before rolling over in the bed, attempting to hide his eyes from the sunlight
(Y/N) giggled at the boy's reaction. She paused for a moment looking at the tired blob on the bed.
"hey Tsuki..?" She hesitated for a moment not wanting to ruin the mood.
"...you can't tell anyone about my dad... and you can't ask why" (Y/N) couldn't tell if Tsukishima heard her or if he was asleep.
Her question was answered when she heard Tsukishima sigh and rollover
"ok... But you have to keep me updated and you have to promise me if it ever gets too bad that...You'll tell me.
No matter what." Tsukishima's eyes were locked in hers
"YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO BE LATE!" Tsukishima flinched at his brothers yelling, He quickly bolted out of his room to get ready.
(Y/N) just laughed at him as he tried to brush teeth and hair at the same time, Which did not work as he planned it to.
(Y/N) just walked down the stairs with a smile on her face.
A hand grabbed her wrist and (Y/N) Swatted it away, real hard.
Only to turn around and realize it was Tsukishima's Kind mother she had just swatted.
(Y/N)'s eyes widened and she began to apologize profusely.
Mrs.Tsukishima just laughed at the panicked girl and reassured her it was fine.
"Do you feel better?" she asked
"Yes thank you for the medicine!" (Y/N) gave a bow
only to feel Tsukishima pull her by the back of her shirt out of the door
"Come on we are going to be late," Tsukishima grumbled
(Y/N) just smiled and walked beside the boy
If only every day could be like this
The two met up with Yamaguchi, (Y/N) apologized for worrying the boy and the three began to walk to school.
Yamaguchi couldn't help but notice his tall friend wasn't wearing his ever-present headphones.
He also couldn't help but notice Tsukishima had a glob of toothpaste in his hair
But that's none of his business...
"Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you guys.."
The two looked at Yamaguchi
"I'll just give you a quick summary.. but Nishinoya and Asahi came back."
(Y/N)'s looked at Yamaguchi with surprise and even Tsukishima was a little surprised at the information Yamaguchi just dropped.
"How did that happen?!"
Of course, it happens the one day I leave early
Yamaguchi rubbed the back of his neck "To be honest I don't really understand what happened myself. It kinda all happened at once." Yamaguchi looked at (Y/N) "Also the VP came to visit us, he seemed pretty mad when we told him you had left."
(Y/N's heart dropped to her stomach, all joy from earlier fading away.
Tsukishima looked at the girls face, seeing the fear in her eyes
and he couldn't even do anything about it.
Yamaguchi gulped, he felt like he was being suffocated by the tense atmosphere. Thankfully the three reached the school soon, Yamaguchi feared that if he had to stay in it any longer he would pass out.
The day passed quickly for Tsukishima and before he realized it the bell had rung. Since it was Friday there was no practice and Tsukishima rushed to (Y/N)'s classroom after texting Yamaguchi that he wouldn't be walking with him.
(Y/N) gave Tsukishima a sad smile and the two walked together.
"You can't text me right?"
(Y/N) just nodded
Tsukishima thought for a moment, He just needed some way to check on her.
"Sneak out of your house, at night and come over to my house"
Tsukishima certainly hated the idea of (Y/N) walking alone at night, but it had to be safer than staying there.
(Y/N) looked at Tsukishima to see if he was joking, but it seemed like he wasn't joking.
"Are you sure? It could be at any time.."
Tsukishima nodded, it was the least he could do. He already felt awful about the situation.
He was walking the girl to her angry abuser
They continued to walk in silence
Tsukishima felt something soft brush his hand and turned to see (Y/N) looking at the ground.
He looked at her hand and sighed
"Idiot, If you're going to attempt something at least go through with it," Tsukishima said this as he grabbed her hand and held it.
With each step Tsukishima took he felt worse and worse
Is this all I can do for her?
Hold her hand?!
I'm just letting her get hurt, while I stay in my nice house
She's scared but she just keeps walking
How many times has she has to walk alone with this feeling?
"Sorry Tsuki, you can't walk me any further than this."
(Y/N) looked up Tsukishima and let go of his hand
"Thank you so much"
(Y/N) Meant it too.
Tsukishima didn't know what to say, Instead, he wrapped her in a hug.
"You don't have to go"
(Y/N) didn't respond
She let go of Tsukishima, not looking him in the eyes.
"Bye Tsuki"

Tsukishima could only watch as the girl walked away.
