Chapter 3 - The Blacksite

Date: 19th February, 2012.
Time: 12:00
Objective:Retrieve and extract Operative "Rose"

Location: Wargate Prison Compound, Alaska

"Tell me which part of this is fun?" I asked Wren Over my earpiece.

"The part where you Don't get Her killed. We need her out. Alive."

"No I meant Why put me in a shipping container with food and water only for me to arrive later than scheduled?"

"We can't all be Winners. But at least you're there now. Get in, Find the cell block, Find Rose, Bring her Back Safe. Can you do that, Zero?"

"Yeah, Got it." I told Wren as I prepared in the container. I dropped Off my bag, Took out Only the necessities like the med kit, The blowtorch, and my 2 selected UP9 Pistols for the mission. I was initially Planning to bring My Signature MM20 SMG to the fight, But figured That I needed something more compact. I also Prepared my custom Raven pistol for rose so she could fight her way out as well. I knew this was gonna be ugly. It was gonna be loud.

"Show time" I told myself.

I climbed Out the container. Just then Wren gave out instructions for me to extract Rose.

"We need a Clean Run on this. Now, I don't like attention being drawn to yourself. The nicest way out of here that is guaranteed to leave you and Rose alive is we nicely schedule a Prisoner transfer. Just find the head guard and get his access code, And get authorization for it. Now remember, You're dealing with Steel Cove, So be on your..."

I shot my Pistol at the guard on the Catwalk. It was loud enough for Wren to hear over my earpiece.

"Sorry, You were talking too long." I told Wren.

"Or do that and extract rose." He said Disappointed.

"Don't worry, I'll bring her back in One piece." I told Wren as I made my way to a Sewage room, Shooting every guard I see, Not missing a single shot.

I reached the room, And went straight into it. Dropped down outside the door of the cell block. The alarm was blaring, There would probably be guards On the other side waiting for me. I needed to stay calm. Remember my objective. I need Rose. I need her alive.

I kicked down the door Open, And shot all the 5 guards that were guarding the outside. There were 4 Cells. Through the little Windows on the door I saw a red haired Girl in Cell C. I went up to the main control, Blowtorches the door Open and Shit the guard that was waiting In the head. I typed In an override command on the Cell Panels and opened the door to cell C.

I went back down to Cell C, And finally met up with Rose. Not the Kind of introduction I was expecting, But she is an Operative. And I am breaking her out.

"And who are you supposed to be?" She asked after I had removed her restraints on the chair she was strapped to.

"Zero. Halcyon sent me. We're getting you out." I responded And handed her My Custom Raven.

"Took you long enough" she said.

Out of the cell we went, Shooting every guard we saw, And took refuge in the Control room for a few minutes.

"So, What's up with the alarms? Is it part of the plan?" Rose asked.

"It is now." I replied while loading Up a map of the Next area on the Computer in the control room.

"You have no idea what you're doing do you?" She asked.

"We need to take out the anti-air guns. Any ideas where they keep the explosives?" I asked Rose after taking a look at the helipad area of the compound.

"I love this plan" She said seductively.
"Supply room. They should keep it there. I'll cover you, Get the Blast door panel Activated." She instructed.

We fought our way through to the first Blast door. I hacked the panel and activated it.

"It's gonna take some time, We gotta fight them off!" I yelled after Rose.

"Way ahead of ya!" She yelled back as she shot every guard with precision.

We defended the panel for what seemed like an eternity even though it was only 5 minutes. Finally, the Blast door Opened. Rose and I slipped in and made our way to the supply room. We grabbed the explosives and made our way back to the blast door area, Made a beeline to under where the Anti-air guns were, and placed the explosives directly under them.

"Explosives in place." I told rose as she was activating the other Blast door Panel, trying to get it open.

"Good." She said as she typed in the last code. The panel Showed a time of 3 Minutes before it could open. Untill then, we had to defend the panel.

"Let me make a Phone call. Cover me"

And so I did. She contacted Wren.

Wren Responded. "James Pizza. What can I get you?"

"Wren. Listen. Hear those gunshots? We need our evac, Not your fun little code phrases." She retorted.

Wren Went silent and the replied. "Falcon is on the way."

3 minutes later, The blast door Opens and We could see the Helicopter Falcon was in.

"Yes! It's open! Let's go!" Rose Shouted.

We made a Beeline for the Heli and escaped. In one piece. Thank God. We flew back to headquarters, where rose was given time to recover, And I was given time to sleep For a few hours, Get well rested and Maybe Mingle around to get to know the other Halcyon Operatives.

Wren Knocks and I answer the door.

"Good work Out there. You got Rose out in one Piece. Though you could really have done it quietly."

"Hey, We can't all be Winners." I said Laughing.

"Is she gonna be Okay?" I asked.

"She'll be fine. She's the toughest operative I know."
