Chapter 5 - The Auction

Date: 4th August, 2012
Time: 20:45
Objective: Retrieve Jewels Located inside Vault

Location: SFBank, San Fransisco, CA

"So, What am I looking at Here?" I asked Rose over my Earpiece.

"A bank." She replied.

"Anything I should Know about it?"

"Hmmm." She pondered.
"Nope."

"So, Retrieve the jewels silently right?" I asked.

"Be creative, But don't let it get too loud. It is a night heist after all." Rose Replied.

"Remind me Why we're doing this?"

"Because those jewels are stolen. We're tryna 'collect' them back for our Client."

"This Might take a while." I whispered to myself. Little did I know the bank Rose had sent me to helps Halcyon With Money Laundering activities.

As I prepared for the Night Heist, I Loaded my Pistols, Counted my med kits, And made sure I had my Scrambler.

"Ready to rub elbows With the rich and powerful? You could make some good friends in there. And then Con them all." Rose Joked about.

"They're not gonna Like me much when I steal their prized diamonds." I joked back.

"Don't be so sure. Some of these crooks will like you even more." She replied.

'First step, Disguise.' I thought.
Getting the disguise was easy, There was a guard Guarding the back alley, All I had to do was take him out.

After changing into a disguise, I dumped the unconscious guard into a Nearby trash bin. I couldn't risk anyone finding a body.

"Hey Listen, The more people you take out, the harder this is going to be to cover up. Be careful." Rose Informed me.

"Don't worry, I only needed the disguise." I replied. I put down My bag, Took my scrambler, And left my equipment bag In the back alley. That was My escape route.

I walked into the bank. Nobody is suspicious. Disguise works like a charm.

"They got a nice little party going on here." I whispered to Rose On my earpiece.

"You don't disturb the guests, They don't disturb the heist. Odds are some of them will have panic buttons. Be careful." Rose Replied.

I went around the back of the Bank's main hall, Looking for a room that would have any intel on my mission. I spotted a room with a huge clear window, there I easily spot a clipboard. All I needed was a key card.

'Scrambler should come in handy' I thought.
I was careful not to let anyone spot me. I used the scrambler to silently unlock the room door. Once in, I quickly scanned through the clipboard, Hoping It had intel I need to continue with the mission.

"Clipboard here, Let me examine it." I told Rose.

After examining the clipboard, I got the Intel I needed. "Got something here. Info on the lots." I told rose.

"Good, good. We'll need to cross reference it to figure out where the reference is stored. See if you can find any other info."

I went around Looking for something that I could use to find where the jewels were located. 'I better get a pay raise for this.' I thought to myself.

Back in main office, next to the stairway upstairs, There was a laptop, wide open.

"I think that's the auctioneer's Laptop." I whispered to rose.

"Search it."

I Ran through the laptop, and found a file regarding to where the jewels were kept.
There was a problem though.

"Problem."

"What's up?" Rose Perked.

"The file we need is encrypted."

Rose sighed. She knew this made my job harder. She wanted me to have a smooth mission. "Of course... Alright, the auctioneer must have the key." She responded.

"I'll just go Politely ask for it then." I said

I had little time left. The auction was about to start. I had to think of a way to Obtain the encryption key.

I saw the auctioneer, I had to lure him away.
All I had to do was make him a little suspicious of me. I moved around in front of the auctioneer. The plan was working. He grew suspicious. I drew him outside, Hoping he would follow. He did. Further I went, straight to a nearby bush. There, I intimidated him and 'politely' asked for the encryption key. Once I had what I need, I knocked Him out, And dumped his unconscious body in the bush. No one would suspect it for a while.

"Ruby. The key is Ruby." I told rose.

"Oh, those are such good colours." She replied.

Little by little, I started to warm up to rose, And I didn't realise it, but she started to warm up to me. I was learning a little bit more about Rose now.

I went back into the office, Back on the laptop, Entered the key and continued my search.

I found the location. The jewels were in the vault.

"Okay, So... It's like we suspected. They're keeping the gems inside the bank vault."

"That's... Unfortunate. Any ideas how to get to them?" Rose asked.

"There's a bank employee with clearance. She's supposed to open the vault when it's time." I told rose. This I knew, Because there was a employee dressed in a different outfit, close to the bank vault at all times.

"Hmm... Alright, I got an idea. See if you can find her employee record."

I went back around to the employee's Area. I searched up the files, and got the Employee's record.

"Got it. Her Employee's record is here." I said as I sent the information to Rose.

"Alright. I'm going to call her. Find her, and get into the vault."

The Employee was called. She stepped outside, And that was the time to strike. I went out and Pulled her back to the back alley, interrogated her and got the code, And knocked Out one more final Person before completing my mission. I was close to finishing it. Again, I dumped the unconscious body, But this time somewhere more secluded and where no one would find the body for a while. I had very little time left. I had to finish the mission. And fast.

"Got the vault code." I told rose while making a beeline for the vault, Not attracting any attention to myself.

"Great. Get in there, grab the gems and go." She instructed.

I quickly entered the vault code, Entered the vault and saw the gem case.

"Lots of cash here..." I whispered.

"Hands off. That's Halcyon's money. This bank is one of our launderers. Take the case, Nothing else." Rose Informed me.

I grabbed the case, And made my escape through the back alley way. There, a black van was waiting for me. I got into the van and made my way back to headquarters. I was gonna need some rest after the long night.

"Whew. Long night." I said.

"Good job, come back to headquarters, Get some rest." Rose said.
