I was offered a shower after breakfast, and no way in hell I was gonna pass that up. Looking in the mirror of the bathroom, I sighed and rubbed my face. I looked like a rat. A knock on the door and Tord's voice.

"Hey, Edd asked me to bring you these spare clothes."

Opening the door, I went to take them from his hands. Instead, my world spun and I found myself shoved face-first against the wall. My arm was held in an iron grip, pressed on my back.

Tord's harsh whisper reached my ear, his smokey breath hitting my skin. I cringed and tried to get free, stopping when pain shot through my side.

"I know exactly who you are, Lieutenant. Did Gray really think he could send a spy to me?"

My skin turned to ice in my veins. How did he-?

I hissed as he shoved me harder.

"You have 10 seconds to explain yourself."

Cold metal was jabbed into the back of my head, making a clicking noise. A gun. He had a gun pointed at me.

"W-Wait! How do you e-even know about Gray?!"

Laughter erupted from him.

"Very funny. You soldiers are really bad liars."

The pain in my arm was starting to get unbearable.

"I don't know what you're talking about! Just tell me!"

He jammed the gun against my head harder.

"Your story first. If whatever you say isn't total bullshit, I won't kill you."

There really wasn't any other way out of this. Besides death, and I wasn't planning to die yet. Not here. So I explained to him. I told him about the jet, the meeting, and the attack on the jet.

"So all I want to do is find Gray Leader and go back home! I don't even know if he's alive!"

Silence. Then, all the pressure on my body was gone. I collapsed to the ground, holding my aching arm. Tord leaned against the sink, keeping his gun where I could see it.

"Tch. It's barely enough to convince me."

I tried to stand, but a foot collided with my chest and sent me back to the ground. When my vision cleared, I found myself looking into the barrel of Tord's gun. His silver eyes were dangerously dark.

"Of course, you're not off the hook that easily. As long as you're staying in this house, I'll be keeping a very close eye on you. If you even give one of the boys a look that makes me suspicious, I will not hesitate to shoot you down where you stand. Understood?"

My entire body shook and all I could manage was a short nod. He withdrew the gun and placed it back in the waistband of his black jeans.

"Good soldier. Now act like this never happened."

I grabbed his hoodie sleeve as he put his hand on the doorknob.

"You never told me how you knew."

He grinned over his shoulder, the toothy look sending a shiver down my spin.

"Congratulations. You're officially the temporary roommate of Red Leader."

Tord's words echoed through my mind during my shower. I couldn't shake the look in his eyes. There was something dangerous about that man. Something off. I thought back to his threat. Edd, Tom, and Matt must not know about his...occupation.

I never noticed that Tord had left a pile of clean clothes neatly folded on the sink counter. Upon investigation, I saw they were a black hoodie that was old, based on how faded it was. Along with it was a pair of athletic shorts and some socks. Both the hoodie and shorts were pretty big on me.

Stepping out of the bathroom, I glanced around the hall to see if the red hoodied man was nearby. Luckily it was empty, so I walked out into the living room. All four boys were flopped down tiredly. Edd, Matt, and Tom were on the couch, while Tord took up the armchair. Boxes and other things were strewn about the room, definitely not there before.

Hearing my footsteps, Matt's head popped up.

"(F/N)!"

He rushed over, energy suddenly replenished. I didn't even have time to react as he scooped me up in a hug, spinning me around. Although he wasn't as tall as Edd, he was still tall enough that I was lifted off the ground.

"We got most of the stuff cleared out of your room!"

"M-Matt, my side."

The Brit gasped and set me down.

"I'm so sorry!"

"It's fine. You got excited."

Edd sat up on the plush red couch. There was a can of cola in his hand.

"Hey (F/N), we're going to the mall in a bit. Do you want to come with? You do need some clothes after all."

I walked over to the couch and sat down beside Tom. Matt opted for the floor instead.

"That's probably a good idea. I'd rather not be stuck wearing this hoodie 24/7."

Tom started snickering and Tord shot a dirty glare our way. I blinked.

"Did I say something wrong?"

Tord picked up a cat toy from the ground and threw it at Tom, hitting him in the face with it.

"That hoodie happens to be one of my old ones."

Oh. Explains why the scent of smoke clung to the fabric.

Later that day in found myself in the backseat of Edd's car, wedged between Tom and Tord. They were snapping at each other, but one sharp glare from Edd through the rearview mirror cut it short. Which was good, one more sarcastic comment and I was afraid it was going to get physical.

I groaned softly under my breath as yet another annoying pop song came on the radio. A chuckle from beside me made me look up. Tom was holding an earbud out to me, the other already in his ear.

"I understand how insufferable the radio can be, and we've still got a bit of drive. Do you like Panic! At The Disco?"  (It's a personal headcanon of mine that Tom likes P!ATD, but if you don't like them just think of some other song.)

Tom let me see the Panic! playlist he had on his phone, and we finally settled for One of the Drunks. I nodded along with the beat, silently, mouthing the lyrics to myself.

My thoughts drifted off to my situation. I needed to figure out what exactly happened. In order to do that, I needed to get back to the woods where I woke up.

I was sent back to reality by a small nudge from Tom. He took the earbuds back after pausing the music, stuffing them into his pocket.

"We're here."
