I am not like other humans.

With people that they find attractive.
Other humans like having sex
With no wings attached.
But not me.
I am not normal.
Others have told me that my sexual orientation
Is not natural.
Others have told me that I am
Not a real human being.
Others wear gold wedding bands on the left ring finger
I wear a black ring on my right middle.
Others have told me that
I am a mythical being.
Others put people like me down
And say that I am a special fucking snowflake.
But not me.
Me?
I am demisexual.
I am someone that needs a relationship
Before I give my entire being to you.
I am both an ace from space
And a queer ya hear.
I am a sensual being
But not a sexual one.
I am a lover of giant hugs
And goodnight texts.
I am a being that wants to know what is on your mind
Not your head.
I am not normal;
I am a motherfucking dragon.
I am me.
I like having an emotional connection
Before the idea of sex is even thought of.
I do not feel a need to prove my love and devotion
With genital contact.
I like reading about dragons and unicorns
More than reading about sweet, sweet love.
I like cuddling and kissing
More than intimate petting and arching my back.
I do not like watching others waving their tails around;
That is a private matter not for my eyes.
Because I am not normal by society's standards.
So let me breath my fire,
