I woke up feeling great. I checked the time, and rushed out the door to meet Minhee. After my 5 minute walk I reached the school, and entered the building. I paced through the halls until I finally reached my destination, the library.
Minhee
I opened the library doors, and spotted Jungmo at a nearby table reading a book. His face was relaxed, and he seemed to be enjoying himself. I then approached him, and sat down on the chair beside him. His face then lit up, and gave me a heartwarming smile. I just looked away, and ignored his presence. I'm here to teach, not to make friends.
Jungmo then put his book down, and started to take his homework out. I got back to my senses, and pulled out a few text books. I started to go over the basics, and he followed. He still seemed pretty confused, but after a while he got it. It was awkward, and every now and then I had a silent panic attack, but I somehow pulled through.
"Thanks for teaching me this." Said Jungmo with a soft tone.
I looked up at the older classmate to see a smile playing on his lips. I wanted to smile back, but I couldn't, otherwise it would just be fake. In fact, I don't remember the last time I genuinely smiled through the heart. The one thing more exhausting than being depressed is pretending that your not.
His expression then turned to a frown, and I couldn't help myself from wanting his smile to return. Jungmo then got his stuff, and took off with a small wave. I just sat there mesmerized as he exited the room.
Class soon started, and I silently watched as Jungmo sat down at his seat. He then turned around and smiled at me. I didn't smile back. I then locked my thoughts away, and put all my interest into the lesson. I made sure to pick up every word, and detail. This is the reason you come to school, to learn.
The class soon ended, and I rushed out the door. I seriously need to start distancing myself from people I don't know. I was walking through the hallways until I heard a voice not far behind.
"Hey, Meanie!" The person called out.
I then turned around to face the one, and only Seongmin who was dragging a frantic Jungmo behind him. Why can't this kid just call me by my real name? I then got back to my senses and my eyes widened, Jungmo? Doesn't Seongmin know that I don't like strangers? I then sighed while trying not to be rude. "What do you need?" I asked.
"I just found out through Jungmo that Hyeongjun totally likes Wonjin! So, I need you to help me."
I tilted my head in confusion. "Help with what?"
Seongmin then continued. "He can tell his group of friends to sit with us, and then we can work together to bring Hyeongjun and Wonjin closer!" He said while looking proud of himself.
I then went back to my blank face and answered. "You can't just force love like that Seongmin."
Seongmin then started to pout. "But it's destined! Plus, if I get them together Wonjin will be too distracted, and stop bothering me."
So that's his true intention. He just wants Wonjin to stop being the loving mother he is.
I then turned my attention back to Jungmo. He seemed to be looking at the ground.
Jungmo then started to speak. "I'll help, but that's only because I know how much Hyeongjun likes Wonjin."
Seongmin shrugged. "Fine by me, Minhee don't tell anyone okay?"
I sighed then answered. "Fine."
Jungmo
I didn't intend for anyone to find out about Hyeongjun's crush. But when Seongmin mentioned that he was Wonjin's friend it just sort of came up. Once he suggested his plan I immediately thought of how embarrassed Hyeongjun would be. But, I didn't really oppose to the plan, because I secretly wanted them to get together too. Honestly, for years Hyeongjun would always act weird around Wonjin. It was pretty obvious
I then grabbed my lunch, and headed towards the cafeteria. I looked around until I spotted my friends at a nearby table. I started to walk towards them, wondering how I was gonna get them to follow me. That was when I had it, I knew exactly how I was going to do it.
I quickly walked over, and sat beside them. "Hello friends, I know these people who are sitting over there why don't we go sit with them?"
Allen then looked up. "No way, well I mean you can go sit with them, but I'm staying right here."
The rest of my friends just nodded, and continued eating their food.
I sighed then spoke. "Wonjin's there."
That's when everyone's heads shot up.
Serim and Allen were grinning, while Woobin began nudging Hyeongjun with his elbow. Hyeongjun's tilted his head in confusion, until realization hit him.
"W-what? No, we can not sit there!" He squeaked.
Hyeongjun then tried running away, but Serim stopped him. Afterwards we gathered our things, and headed towards Seongmin and Minhee's table. Hyeongjun was squirming like a worm while trying to get out of Serim's grasp, but he only failed miserably.
Seongmin shot up once he saw us, and began grinning like a maniac. "Hyung, over here!" He shouted.
Minhee
Long story short, everything was awkward until someone brought up Monsta X, now everyone is best friends.
"My bias is Hyungwon!" "I like Joohoney!" "But what about Kihyun?" "Are you all forgetting I.M's rapping?"
Yeah, it became a loud house.
I personally didn't take part in any of the fanboying. I lost all taste in music since my depression kicked in, and it hasn't gotten any better.
I suppose that I didn't look okay, because Jungmo immediately noticed my expression. He gave me a sympathetic look, but I just ignored it.
I looked over at Wonjin and Hyeongjun to see that they were having their own little conversation. Again, I wanted to smile, but I just couldn't. I couldn't find the happiness inside of me to do so.
I miss me, the old me, the happy me, the smiling me, the gone me.
