"Is Hong Kong related to King Kong or Donkey Kong?"

I sighed with disappointment, things like this make me question my choice of friends.

"I can't with your stupidness Wonjin." Said Taeyoung while facepalming. "Just get back to lunch so that we can go back to class."

"Hey that's rude!" Wonjin shouted back.

His loud voice made me flinch. "Wonjin, your causing a scene!" I said with a hushed voice.

After hearing this, Seongmin looked up with a smirk. I then mentally panicked. What is this demon in disguise going to do? Yell? Break out with his tap dancing? For all I know, he could start screaming the Pokémon theme song.

Seongmin then casually looked around the lunchroom, until he spotted some random person reading a book. Haruto I believe was his name.

"HEY YOU, I WANT MY WHEELBARROW BACK!"

I then put my head down in embarrassment as the poor kid Seongmin yelled at started looking around in confusion.

I could hear some kids snickering, while the confused student tried to figure out what was happening. Seongmin on the other hand seemed to forget about the whole thing and went back to focusing his attention onto his sandwich.

Wonjin just shook his head, and went back to eating. While Taeyoung tried to control his laughter.

School was now pretty much over. And I was just getting my backpack, when an annoying  purple headed boy just had to appear.

"Hello Minhee, how are you doing?" Said Jungmo with a smile.

Terrible. "Good." I muttered, while trying not to make eye contact.

"You don't seem good." Said Jungmo with a frown. "Come on, let's walk back together!" He excitedly said while grabbing my hand. I had the sudden urge to shove it away and run, but knew better.

We were now walking towards the dorms, while I awkwardly stuck my hands into my pockets, trying to avoid any sort of communication with Jungmo.

Until, he ruined it. "Hey, you don't have to feel so awkward. Did we go through friendly bonding time for nothing?" Said Jungmo with a frown.

"Please don't say that ever again." I said with a sigh. I honestly just want to forget about the whole thing. I appreciate the fact that Jungmo is trying, but there's really no point. We're not becoming friends.

Jungmo just shrugged, and looked off to the distance. Then, out of nowhere he grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards a small abandoned playground that was across the dorms.

My eyes then widened. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" I yelled. Jungmo being the annoying person he is didn't answer, and continued to drag me.

Once we finally reached the playground he excitedly ran off. I then rolled my eyes, and walked over towards the purple haired male. Jungmo seemed like a little kid who's parents allowed him to play for a little. Except for the fact that he's a high schooler, who should be studying for exams.

Jungmo then stopped running, as something caught his eye. He then slowly began walking over towards the swing set. Once he reached the rickety unstable set, he sat down. I then sighed. The rusted swing set looked like it would fall apart any minute now. Jungmo should get off soon.

"This was where I used play as a kid." Jungmo muttered while kicking the dirt.

I then looked over at him to see his blank face looking at the ground, while swinging from side to side. I had a feeling that there was much more to Jungmo then what came to eye.

"Why can't you just open your eyes, and get over your denseness?" Said Wonjin with a frown.

I honestly don't know how late it is, but we were supposed to meet up for a study session. Which obviously flopped, since we're now all just doing our own thing while eating watermelon.

"What are you talking about?" I answered with a confused expression.

Taeyoung then sighed, and went back to doing Seongmin's hair.

"Why can't anyone here just have actual brain cells?" Said Seongmin with a frown. "Also, are you just ruining my hair?" He said accusingly, while looking up at Taeyoung.

"Of course not!" Said Taeyoung while adding another elastic to Seongmin's hair. "You look cute!" He then added with a smile.

Seongmin just scoffed and looked back down at his plate of watermelon. Though, you could obviously see the light shade of pink dancing on his cheeks.

I happily left my dorm, with a smile on my face. Today I had tutoring lessons with Minhee. I then started walking down the sidewalk, until I spotted a certain playground. My mind went blank as I recalled past memories.

This wasn't just a place where I used to play. This was the place where I could let out all my feelings, a place where I felt protected, a place where I truly felt like myself. And that was because of a certain person. A certain person named Jun. (Don't you dare think of Seventeen.)

I was just slowly rocking back and forth on one of the swings with tears streaming down my cheeks. Back then school was hard for me. I was constantly bullied by other classmates. Jun would help me as much as he could, but due to our schedules we barely saw each other. People shamed me about my family background. And I couldn't do anything about it. They all had high social statuses, their parents had power. I was just a good for nothing kid who cursed the youth of my mother.

"I-I just don't understand." I said while trying to hold in the many tears that were flowing down with ease. "What did I do so wr-"

I was then shushed by a hug from Jun. It felt warm, and comforting, like a blanket that had been draped over me. But most of all, it felt safe. I then looked over at Jun who had his arms around my neck, and cheek rested on my head.

"You did nothing wrong, so stop blaming yourself. They might only see you for your status, and all that crap. But I see you for who you truly are." He then finished with a smile.

I could then feel my face heating up, my heart was beating, and I didn't know what was happening. Little did I know that it was love that I was experiencing.

But I didn't know, cause middle school year old me was too stupid to realize it.

Jun was someone who I could open myself up to. The one person who would stand up for me, the one person who would listen to me, and the one person whom I could call my friend.

But that all changed, when one particular day came around. The day where everything fell apart.
The day Jun left for China.

(Ok stop, I know what you're thinking. But I simply used this name without thinking about Seventeen's Junhui. You know what? I don't even care anymore, let your corrupted minds run along.)

Tears streamed down my face, as Jun caressed my cheek with a smile. That's all Jun ever did, smile. But this smile wasn't his usual beaming one, instead tears too streamed down his face as he held his sorrowful smile.

"Your hair would look nice dyed purple."

That was the last day I ever saw him. Jun's beautiful face, and soft eyes are just a few things that I'll never see again. That was the day I lost myself.
