"FIRST YEARS PLEASE FOLLOW ME." Hermione yelled through the chatting of the halls. All the nervous first years scurried their way to their Gryffindor Prefects. Harry walked beside them as the Gryffindors walked to their common room. Once they entered, all the first years gasped in amusement as they looked around the beautiful Scarlett and gold colors of the common room. Hermione directed all the first years to their assigned dorms. Once all the first years, as well as the rest of the Gryffindor students, left for the dorms, Hermione dragged herself to the nearest chair, letting out a sigh of exhaustion. Ron and Harry followed her, sitting down at the nearby chairs.

" I know I can't be the only one who heard the new girl's name right?" Hermione and Harry shook their heads. Everyone heard her name.

"Did Snape have a long lost daughter or something?" Harry smiled at the comment, but it was truly strange that her surname was Snape.

"It just doesn't make sense." Hermione, the logical person of the Golden Trio said as she sat there confused. "And that she wasn't placed in Slytherin either?" It was true. If Severus Snape was a Slytherin and if they related in any way somehow, then why wasn't she in the same house as Severus was?

Harry shook off those thoughts. There were more important things to discuss."

He told them both about what happened on the train with Dracon and him breaking his nose, as well as all the boasting he was making on the train. He told them his theories of Malfoy being a death eater, expecting what had happened to finally be a stable proof of what he was been claiming all summer. However, it still wasn't enough for his two friends.

"Oh come on Harry. He was probably trying to make himself look good in front of Parkinson." Harry sighed.

"How do you know that? For all we know, Voldemort would want someone on the inside for his plans. Wouldn't be the first time."

"Harry...just let it go already. Draco is not a death eater. If you want to discuss this more it can wait. I'm extremely tired." Hermione sighed, slowly picking herself up from the chair.

"I don't know. You do seem to have some really concrete evidence Harry Potter."

Hermione stopped in her tracks. Both Harry and Ron turned around. Out from the staircase that led to the dorms came Aliana Snape, the girl from before. Everyone stood quiet as she crossed her arms.

"I believe you. From what you were saying this Draco boy seems to be up to no good."

"What are you doing listening in on our private conversation?" Hermione fumed with anger at the new girl. Aliana looked at Hermione, her eyes narrowing.

"For your information, the common room is a public area. I could be here whenever I want to. It really isn't smart to hold a private matter in a public area. Don't you think?" Hermione stepped back a bit. It was true.

"Still doesn't explain why you're here in the first place." This time Ron spoke up, defending Hermione. Aliana scoffed.

"I, as a matter of fact, was looking for my Prefects. I don't have a dorm since I don't know my way to the sixth year dorms. You directed me to the first-year dorms." Both Ron and Hermione blushed in embarrassment, knowing well it was their duty to direct everyone to their proper places.

Hermione reluctantly told Aliana to follow her to find her proper dorm. As they reached the stairway, Aliana paused and turned around, this time looking directly in Harry's eyes.

"You really should be more secretive. You're lucky I won't tell anyone about what I heard."

And with that the two girls left, only Ron and Harry remained.

"The audacity of that woman. Come on Harry, let's just go to bed."

Harry nodded, but his mind wandered as they went to their dorms. Even though he didn't know this Snape girl, it felt nice to be believed.
