THE SIXTH YEARS' FREE PERIODS WERE NOTHING SHORT OF EXHAUSTING. Every day felt like there would be an exam the next day that would determine their whole life. The library was packed with people, and the common room was full of sixth years struggling with nonverbal incantations, which were needed for three of their classes.
On one busy free period, Ron, Hermione, and Harry sat in the common room, trying their best to do some nonverbal incantations.
"This is impossible!" Ron said, tossing his wand to the side in frustration.
"What is Ronald?" The trio turned around, spotting Aliana coming down from the dorms.
"Uh...verbal incantations?" Aliana giggled.
"Well, they're quite simple as a matter of fact." She picked up Ron's wand and sat next to Ron, causing Hermione to tense.
"Ok. So think about it this way. Say the incantation in your head as loud as you can. Make sure to grip your wand tight, and focus all your magical energy on it." Aliana picked up her wand. "For example." Aliana took a deep inhale, and the trio watched in shock as Ron's Potion book suddenly rose from the ground. It was up in the arm for a few moments before Aliana placed it gently to the ground.
"Wicked..." Ron whispered. Aliana smiled proudly.
"Now you three try it." Hermione was the first to lift her wand, wanting to get it right the first time. However, only a few sparks flew from her wand. Hermione dropped her hand. Aliana stood up, her smile brighter than ever.
"There's always next time Granger. But for now, it seems like I'm better than you." Hermione was visibly fuming as Aliana made her way out of the common room for what might be her next class. Hermione stood up and gathered her items.
"Hermione? Where are you going?" Harry asked.
"To the library. I need lots of studying to do."

It was now a Saturday morning in the Great Hall. Aliana retrieved her food from the table and made her way to the professor's table.
"Hello brother." She said as she placed her food in front of Severus Snape, who looked up at her.
"Hello Aliana. What brings you here?"
"Well if you didn't notice I'm not practically popular in my house."
"So are you uncomfortable?" Snape said with an almost playful smile towards his sister.
"No. I just hate the stares I get at the table." Aliana shrugged, looking up and seeing Harry, Hermione, and Ron get up to leave the Great Hall. Aliana immediately left her brother's side as she made her way through the hall, following the trio. She made sure to be far enough for them to not hear her. All of them went down to the Quiddich Pitch, were Harry and Ron went down while Hermione sat on the stands.
Aliana took the opportunity, sitting down next to Hermione. Hermione tensed up, noticing who had sat next to her.
"Snape."
"Granger."
The pair sat in silence before Aliana spoke again.
"Have you mastered any nonverbal spells yet?"
"As a matter of fact I have." Hermione perked up in confidence. Aliana laughed.
"Don't be tense. It's just fun competition."
Hermione was about to say something, but then Harry blew on a whistle, signaling the beginning of try outs.
Aliana saw as Harry watched people play, noticing how he looked at a ginger hair girl, who was flying and playing miraculously.
Extremely interesting.
