Lockdown

The roads are empty,
The nights are dark.
All I can hear,
Are birds chirping and dogs bark.

As I stand to contemplate,
What may have gone wrong,
I couldn't help but notice,
Nature, finally catching along.

The beauty of it mesmerizes me,
Yet it can make you feel,
As an abductee,
In its enduring wrath.

The hustle and bustle of life,
Suddenly took a turn.
That it now feels,
Like a huge concern.

While some of us are blessed,
Others still struggle,
To make ends meet,
Inspite of giving their best.

It's during times like these,
We must support each other.
And not shy away,
From going overboard for another.

I know things are difficult,
Yet I ask you to stay strong,
Because this is our home,
And this is where we belong.
