A few weeks had passed since the hang out between Akaashi and y/n. The bell rang for lunch, y/n and her two friends at her  table during lunch.

"Hey, y/n-chan you haven't joined any club yet, right?" Taka asked the brunette as she unwrapped her lunch box.

"Nope, but I DID have a club in mind..." y/n said, taking out her chopsticks and putting an octopus hotdog in her mouth.

"What club were you considering?" Hara asked, stuffing her mouth with rice.

"Well, I was sort of considering the music club but I'm not that passionate about music so I just dropped it." Y/n sighed as she thought about what other clubs could best suit her.

"Why not join the boys' volleyball club and take the role as another manager? I mean, you've been to many of their practices and you know the whole team." Taka suggested.

"Yeah, and you could also get closer to you know who," Hara teased, smirking as she kept eyeing Akaashi beside y/n.

"S-shut up! I don't want to join a club just for someone though... That would be pretty rude of me," y/n said as she took the last bite of her food and started packing her bento up.

"Maybe you should try it out or ask the other managers about it first? I mean they might have some tips for you and just to let you know, you were pretty good at setting when we played volleyball during pe," Hara recalled as she took her last bite of rice.

"Yeah, and your stamina is godly! You got fastest timing in the whole class when we did our runs!" Taka recalled with admiration, almost like stars, in her eyes. Y/n chuckled and thought about how she would be as the Volleyball Club's manager.

"Maybe I should ask Kaori and Yukie..." y/n mumbled to herself as she finished packing up her bento. "Well, thanks for the suggestion," y/n smiled at her two friends.

The two girls smiled back.

"Anything for a friend."

As y/n reached the doors of the gym, she opened them and already saw Kaori and Yukie setting up.

"Hey Kaori, Yukie..." y/n greeted the two girls as she fiddled with her fingers behind her. The two managers smiled at y/n and continued to set up. "I-i wanted to ask if... if I could a-also try out for t-the role as manager!"

The two managers stopped whatever they were doing and looked at y/n. "Of course you can! Oh my lord, finally! For godsake you don't know how long Yukie and I were waiting for you to ask!" Kaori let out as if she had held her breath in for so many years. Y/n cocked her head to the side, confused.

"We've been looking for a new manager for the future of the club since we are third years and are about to step down and well, you were quite suitable for the role. You handle things better than us, y/n. You can do the laundry for the jerseys, pick up the balls around the court fast and have a really good eye. You'd do so good as a manager on the team!" Yukie smiled as she went on about how Kaori and her had always noticed these things about y/n in the practices she came.
Y/n widened her eyes.

I never knew I was like that...

"We could totally put you in as manager! We'll talk to the coach about it once he comes in. He'll definitely agree on it," Kaori confidentally said with a smile. Y/n was heartwarmed and elated with the praises she heard from Kaori and Yukie that she started to tear up.

"Y/n! Oh my gosh did we say something? Why are you crying?" Yukie rushed to y/n as she saw tears run down her cheeks.

"I-I'm just so hap-p-py!" Y/n said as she wiped the tears from her face. "Thank you, I appreciate you both, I really do..." she said as she wiped her wet cheeks. The two girls chuckled and came into a group hug then broke away and helped set up.

A few moments later, the whole team and coach arrived into the gym and started their training.

"Alright, all of you will do runs around the school and a few excercises that I have planned for you. Please follow Bokuto and Akaashi's instructions!" The coach announced to the team as he discussed with the captain and vice-captain about the training today. The two owls nodded and proceeded to start the training. Once the boys exited the gym, the three girls came to the coach to discuss about y/n being manager. The coach agreed to it and it was settled.

Y/n was going to be the new manager for Fukurodani Academy's Volleyball club.

Y/n smiled and thank the coach with a bow which flustered the coach a bit. "I-it's okay y/n! Please stand properly!" The coach said in embarrassment at the sudden formality in y/n's actions. Y/n looked up with determination in her eyes. Almost like the whole galaxy was in her eyes. It was comical.

"I will do my best!"

Y/n said in a determined voice.
