I opened the paper and saw that the article that was written wasn't a long one. But that didn't make it any better.

DEATH EATER AND GOOD GIRL? SEE THE UNUSUAL PAIRINGS

Today at the ministry, citizens of the wizarding world ages sixteen through twenty-five were paired due to a marriage law (see page three for more details). The most unusual pairing was the one of Draco Malfoy, ex Death Eater, and Danielle North-Potter, twin sister of Harry Potter. Along with this unusual one was another: Ginevra Weasley and Blaise Zabini. What made the ministry pair these people? Did Miss North-Potter and Miss Weasley bribe the ministry? Rita Skeeter

I slammed the paper down on the bed and growled.

"That Rita Skeeter has given my friends and family nothing but trouble, and still, she continues to do it!" I said.

"Dani, we've got to ignore it," Ginny said.

I scoffed. "Yeah, let's see how well that goes."

Two days later we were on platform 9 ¾ saying goodbye to Mrs. Weasley, Mr. Weasley, and Harry. I hugged them all in turn, then waited for Ginny before we boarded the Hogwarts Express, waving goodbye to our family on the platform. We found an empty compartment and sat down. I pulled out a book and Ginny pulled out a magazine, and we read until we were interrupted by someone coming into our compartment. It was Luna and Neville and they were holding hands.

"Hello Ginny, Dani," Luna said in her airy voice.

"Hello," Ginny and I echoed.

"Do you mind if we sit here?" Neville asked. I shook my head. We started talking about what had happened over our summers when we were interrupted again. We saw the compartment door open to reveal Draco and Blaise standing there somewhat awkwardly.

"Is there more room in here?" Blaise asked.

"I'm sure we could make room," I said, squishing closer to Ginny. Blaise and Draco grinned and walked into the compartment. Before I knew what had happened, Draco had picked me up, sat down, and placed me on his lap.

"Draco!" I protested.

"What? There wasn't any room otherwise," he said. I looked to my right and saw that Blaise had done the same thing with Ginny. I sighed but didn't protest any further.

"Ginny, I thought you said you would for sure be paired with Harry?" Neville asked. I saw Blaise tense up, and Ginny must've noticed too, because she quickly said,

"I thought that at the beginning of the summer, but I can tell that I was meant to be with Blaise." I saw Blaise relax and I smiled at Ginny's quick thinking. We sat in comfortable silence for while before I stood up and said,

"I'm going to go find Ron and Hermione." Ginny stood up, saying that she would go with, and we exited the compartment, searching the train for Ron and Hermione. We finally found them, snogging in a compartment at then end of the train. I knocked on the door to give them a warning before I opened it. Ron and Hermione broke apart, panting.

"Sorry Dani, we were a bit...caught up," Hermione said, fixing her robes and hair.

"It's alright, it's only natural for a couple to kiss," I said, sitting down on one of the benches in the compartment.

"But I didn't want to see it. My brother and my best friend, blegh," Ginny said, shaking her head as if it would rid her of the memory. I laughed at her, along with Ron and Hermione.

"So, Dani, how's Malfoy?" Ron asked.

"He's fine, he's nothing like he was when he bullied you guys," I said.
