Early Thursday morning, David was excited to find out that Anna was awake. He walked upstairs with Calvin and excitement overwhelmed his body.

As they got closer to her room, he could hear talking.

"Good morning Anna," Calvin said.

"Dr. White!" she called in a soft voice, still gazing out the glass window.

"Wow, you know my voice!" Calvin paused. "I want to introduce you to my friend and colleague, David; he would be working with you for your therapeutic recovery," Calvin continued.

David walked in closer, "Pleasure to meet you, Anna."

As Anna slowly turned around her chair, she grew 'love struck'.' "Umm, hi, hi," she stuttered, "nice to meet you."

In an attempt to stretch to shake his hands she clumsily dropped her phone charger.

"Oh," she said while trying to reach it.

"I'll get it," David said, as their hands clashed while trying to save the charger from falling. They both paused at each other, their hands still touching.

David quickly withdrew his hands and said, "Pleasure to meet you." She smiled at his greeting and continued stretching for her charger.

Calvin smirked at their weird encounter and said, "I just got paged, I'll be back."

An outspoken, bold, and hunky David, felt so nervous in her presence. His mouth is suddenly lost for words and all he could think about was how beautiful her eyes were.

Knowing that he had to keep it professional he asked, "So, how are you feeling?"

"I'm doing way better than yesterday for that matter, it's like as soon as I attempted to get up, my entire body pained; something out of this world," she whaled, expressively with her eyes.

David pulled a chair and sat beside her, "I know exactly what you mean, that description is oh so familiar."

She shyly looked over at him and smiled.

He could tell she felt a bit nervous around him so he tried to lighten the mood a bit. "May I ask, what happened?"

"Well," Anna said while trying to sit up in her chair. "Ouch!" she said while holding her legs.

"Oh my, careful!" David said while fixing her leg back in place.

"As I was saying, I um," she tried to continue; but seemed as though she was out of breath.

"Okay, you know what, it's okay, we can talk about it another time," David said politely. Anna chuckled, "Ok."

"Well, I'll leave you now, you should relax, and take it easy," David recommended.

"I will, thanks," Anna said, not even being able to look continuously in his face.

As he walked away, Anna turned slightly around to admire his tall, muscular body. "Damn!" she said to herself.

"Huh?" David turned around.

"Oh nothing," she said with her head down, not knowing that she was that loud. David then smirked and continued on his way.

"I know that look," Calvin said as he approached David.

David looked down at his phone and then said, "I don't know what you're talking about."

Calvin laughed loudly, "I've known you five years now, don't give me that." David then signaled for Calvin to follow him around the corner.

"She's insanely gorgeous!" he exclaimed after breathing a loud sigh.

Calvin's head in his palm he started laughing loudly, "I knew it!"

David smirked at him, "It's not funny man, from the first time I laid eyes on her, I couldn't stop thinking about her."

"I get what you're saying, but she doesn't look like your kind of girl; now Jasmine, on the other hand, she's the shit," Calvin expressed still in laughter.

"Are you kidding, Jasmine is all sorts of wrong for me, you know it," David expressed.

Calvin rests his hands on David's shoulder and said, "I'm kidding, but take it easy, you know what they say about patient and therapist relationships; they assume it may take the patient longer to recover when feelings are involved," explained a concerned Calvin.

David stood there quietly, digesting what he said. "I got you!" David said.

Later that day, David went to the gym, he would usually go with Calvin, but he was stuck in work that evening.

"Oh my gosh hey David," a soft voice called from the back of the gym.

David turned around wondering who was calling him; "Oh hey, umm," he stammered trying to remember her name.

"It's Anika she said," smiling gratefully at him.

"Oh, hey," David said while putting down his gym gear. "How long have you been here; I haven't seen you here before," David continued.

"I've been here at least a month now," Anika explained.

David gazed at her as she spoke and just realized how much she looked like her sister. Her hair was just as long, her hips were as thin, and her smile just as beautiful. David found himself just as infatuated with Anika and strangely felt guilty about it.

Realizing that he was gazing strangely at her as she spoke she said, "Soo, do you come here alone or you have a workout partner?"

"I usually come with my friend Calvin, but he's busy with work," David explained.

"Oh," she paused. Reaching for the weight on the floor, she continued, "You know you look like you're a trainer here; if I hadn't known you I might have assumed you were."

David giggled, "Oh no, I'm far from trainer standard; I'm not even consistent here, I have a lot going on you know."

"I would think you do," she added. "Reaching for the other weight, her body tilted to the side and she lost balance.

Immediately reaching out to hold her up, David said, "Careful." "Here," he said, realizing that she had picked up two different weights.

She thanked David with a smile and chuckled at her clumsiness.

Reconvening their conversation, Anika asked, "You won't happen to need another workout buddy?" She looked at him as he fixed his waist trainer and saw a small grin.

"Another workout buddy won't hurt," David replied.

In light of her question, David brought his gym gear to where she was and worked on his core and biceps instead of his lower body.

He found himself, holding her arms and legs in place, so she could achieve the exercises correctly and efficiently.

"You're sure you've been here for a month?" David questioned humorously, as he recognized that Anika was having a hard time using the weights.

"Of course I have," she chuckled, "Don't let my clumsiness fool you, I'm nothing like Anna." David looked up at her, with his hands rested on her arms as he flexed them; wondering what exactly she meant by that.

She recognized the confused look on his face and continued, "Well I mean, she's so talented, one of the best gymnasts in Georgia; meanwhile I'm in no way athletic."

David then giggled, "Well that's fine, I guess we all have our strengths right." She smiled and continued flexing her arms with David's help.
