Thus, it was...

Lei surprised everyone (except for Shancai) when he rebelled against his parents' wishes. He had decided to follow in Ah Si's footsteps, and marry for himself. To escape his parents' wrath—and start his life anew, just like Ah Si—he moved to Japan, leaving the details of his whereabouts only with his trusted F4, and beloved Shancai. After spending months wandering and dreaming on the beaches of Osaka, he eventually met a woman. His love for Shancai had become a memory. One year after meeting the woman, she became his wife.

Ximen stayed on top of heavy work. Since the bonds between him and his parents had strengthened, his father decided that he wouldn't force Ximen into an arranged marriage—but that didn't mean he could toy with girls' hearts any longer. His father made him swear that he would find real love, and marry into that love. His father made him promise that he would live with the love that he himself could never experience. Ximen followed through with his father's wishes.

Meizuo and his wife were happy. They considered themselves lucky that they were betrothed to each other, and quite perfectly. Because of his wife, Meizuo also fell deeply in love with classical music. He bought grand halls, and funded numerous programmes, and eventually, his wife birthed a daughter. They called her Xiao Qing.

As for the Daomings....

Xiao He grew to be a wilful, dashing young man. He had a foul temper at times (especially when he was younger), but his mother raised him well: disciplined him to his bones. He grew up learning to be kind so that he wouldn't break girls' hearts. He also grew up learning that he should be grateful for everything he has, having heard numerous stories of his father's cold, imprisoning childhood. Although sometimes Xiao He was rebellious, any scolding from his mother would send him to his knees, begging for forgiveness. (Despite how it may seem, he feared his mother more than he feared his father.)

And for Daoming Si and Shancai—well.

You might have guessed how happily they lived and died together.

They wouldn't have traded this life of theirs for anything... not even the thousands of meteors in the sky.
