On that same day when the afternoon came, Kallea heard a sound hitting her window pane while she's on her laptop doing her assignment due tomorrow morning.

She ignores the noise that's momentarily meddling in her business, thinking it might just be a bird spitting on the glass of her windows, as if birds could really spit.

Shrugging, she went back in concentrating on her assignment, but when she heard a flicking sound that hits the glass again, she swiftly turns her head to look. Her windows were closed and her curtains were down, she decided to leave it like that after Jeno left this morning.

She doesn't want to pay much attention but it stubbornly repeats, not only a few times but redundantly and it irks her. It sounds like a plastic pellet firing a series of shots on her windows.

The continuous shooting fully consumed her curiosity and before she knew it, she was now moving out of her bed to sneak a peek outside her window.

Kallea was always intrigue on things, one habit she wanted to prevent herself from acquiring entirely. Whichever the thing is, as long as it catches her attention, curiosity would creep in, and she'll find a way to unravel the mystery no matter what. She was the kind to pry until she gets to solve what's puzzling her.

Pushing the curtains slightly and peeking secretly, Kallea jolted by the sight outside that made her step back quickly. Her heart instantly reacted, she felt like it raced miles the second her eyes moved to the person she never expected to see again for today.

It was Jeno.

"I'll see you later." Jeno's voice played back on her ears as the memory of him saying those words waves back at her.

He was standing on the same spot where he stood by when they talked this morning, holding a thing which looks like a pellet gun.

Kallea pursed her lips to muffle a laugh. It was hilarious to see him carrying a children's toy, but she found it cute, undeniably.

She can't believe that toy he's holding was the one assassinating her windows, the birds were innocent after all.

How can he be so effortlessly beguiling? She thinks.

A laugh soon came out when she saw how Jeno slaps his face mindlessly then soon swats the air weirdly. She was clueless at first why he did that, all she knew is that she's laughing out loud while watching Jeno.

She can't remember the last time someone made her laugh like this, she hardly ever finds humor in things around her, she's not fond of watching variety shows either where comedians put efforts to make people laugh.

Kallea then noticed the dusk coming. It's getting dark outside and mosquitoes are everywhere.

That explains why Jeno was furiously swatting the air, he was shooing the mosquitoes away which were having a feast on his body.

Her lips formed to a crooked smile by endearing him so much. The thought of avoiding him was subtlety lost in the back of her mind for a moment.

Shaking her head, she leans against the surface of the wall besides her windows. You're a liar Kallea. Her subconscious whispered, sounding like she got betrayed, and it makes her roll her eyes because it's spilling the truth once again.

That subconscious of hers spoke right, and she accepts her honest side comment. She's a liar, but the thing is, she decided to write a letter that clearly tells she doesn't want to include herself in anything that involves Jeno without having a strong conviction. She was now scared that she'll flip off her own decision just because she couldn't resist Jeno.
