Kallea didn't make a move when Jeno played along with her fingers. They held hands and no one dares to break eye contact. Her cold fingertips were grazing his warm skin, until it slowly touches his palms which give them both easiness and comfort.

She's aware of the million germs the two of them is sharing right now, but she doesn't allow herself to fight back the bizarre feeling Jeno is giving her at the moment.

She doesn't know if the thing they're doing right now is considered flirting. Friends don't hold hands while staring intently at each other's eyes. That voice inside her head steals the scene again.

Had Jeno done the same thing with Natalie before or did they reached farther and greater than this?

The thought of Jeno being with Natalie sharing an intimate moment irks her. She suddenly felt like a peevish child for being jealous of Natalie again. That urged her to pull back her hands from him and break eye contact.

Crossing her arms above her chest, she spoke. "To be honest, I was scared of my mom. If she finds out I let a stranger step a foot in my room, prepare for war."

"I'm not a stranger. Do you still find me a stranger?" Jeno's brows arch in dismay.

She shakes her head. "For me, no. But for my mom, yes. Everybody is a stranger for her. No one could get in me."

"So I am not allowed in your room?"

"Precisely. That is why you should go now. You shouldn't be here." She gestures him to go, but he grabs her hand again, and drags her towards the door with him.

"Your room is the only place prohibited, but it doesn't mean I can't take you to other places I wanted."

"What?" She freaks out after hearing that. "You would take me where? You mean, right now? We're going out in the middle of the night?" Her eyes were round as saucers, but that isn't her main concern here. She's going out with Jeno plus she can finally get out of her shielded room after so many years, but that means defying her mom's rules completely and putting her life at the brink of death.

"No, I'm not taking you anywhere...for now. We will only continue our talk outside, in your balcony since your room is prohibited." It's funny to hear it honestly, the balcony is the real prohibited place for her, but for Jeno, he wasn't allowed in both.

Jeno was quick to open the door, he was like opening a refrigerator's door to get food, easy as that... unlike her who takes hours contemplating whether to open it or not.

Halting, she looks back on her drawer, instinctively feeling the need to get a face mask and hand gloves, but when her eyes drops on their hands clasped together, she pushed the thought away. Only this time. She promised and proceeds.

The midnight breeze feels foreign to her skin as it welcomes her through the door wide open. Never did she ever go out at this time, and if she ever stayed up late at night, it is only to watch out for the appearance of the full moon by her windows, which she always keeps an eye for on her calendar every month.

The stars above, however, gives her a glee as they twinkle. She can imagine them winking at her. Being surrounded with a placid ambiance and having Jeno beside her... Kallea felt everything seems right. She felt like a normal person without wearing any protection against the microorganism that can harm her health. She felt like her hands were freed from a handcuff that has been chaining her tight for a long time.

Freedom, that's what Jeno is giving her from this moment.

"Kallea," Jeno's voice suddenly pulled her out of her reverie that makes her turn her head to face him.
