In which Harry finds love in an unsuspecting town in the middle of the desert. And you find the savior you've been praying for, if only you can keep your whirlwind romance a secret long enough to escape.
I am such a fan of this author, she just writes the most unique fanfic plus she writes it so well. I have already included Inclination (my favorite) in this list of recommended reads, which I absolutely love....and for the fans, before you ask...Aerial is coming!
But Verboten is also awesome. As usual their is a great cover, which definitely initially got my attention.
Birdie the author wrote a collection of one shots called Harry Tales (I'll probably add it on here at some point), and Verboten was originally a short story in the collection.
First up this is a western set in the late 1800s. The protagonists in this one are Harry, a fedora wearing stranger newly arrived in town, and the ingenue, remains unnamed, works in a saloon, and has literally the worst father who has made her life absolute hell. She would rather spend the day down at the creek reading and swimming .
Enter Harry who turns her world upside down, falls in love with her....and so the story goes. Add in some bad guys, some drama and a few great sexy scenes and you have the makings of an awesome tale.
