Elizabeth scratched her neck awkwardly and scrunched up her nose. "That's good to know. But I am not going to dance."
Klaus simply laughed. "And why not?"
"Well for starters, I don't really know what a old-decadewaltz is." She admitted, mocking the name.
"I think you mean centuries old-waltz. And you'll be fine. I'll be right by your side to guide you." Klaus said, holding his hand out for her to grab.
Elizabeth hesitated before grabbing onto his hand and following him into the ballroom where people were getting into two separate lines, holding hands with their partners.
Elizabeth gulped as she stood in place next to Klaus in one of the lines. "This is not going to end well." She stated to Klaus who just scoffed at her.
"Have some confidence. Just follow my lead." He said as the music started playing. The song was Give me love by Ed Sheeran.
"I love this song." She commented mostly to herself but she could feel Klaus staring at her with the corner of her eye.
Elizabeth felt herself being guided to step forwards by Klaus, so she copied his actions and began to step like everyone else. After a few steps she was suddenly guided to face the right. Everyone nodded towards their partners.
Klaus nodded at her with an amused look on his face as she was slightly offbeat.
"This isn't so bad. It's basically just stepping forwards and backwards." She said, hoping that the entire dance would be like this.
"Don't get so used to it, you're going to have to spin in second and then you have to change position to hold onto my shoulders." He said with a smug smile. Elizabeth gave him a panicked look in response.
"Wait, which way am I spinning?" She hissed loudly at him, causing a few vampires to look over at her with amused faces.
"Right." He says as she spins to the left, causing them to slightly crash into a random couple next to them.
"Shit, sorry." Elizabeth says to the couple who just gave her dirty look and carried on. Klaus just gave the couple a wide smirk. He was amused.
The pair managed to regain themselves after their crash but Elizabeth still kept getting a few of the steps wrong.
