Here's a little treat to keep you entertained during isolation. If you didn't know, "Roadies" is set in 2015 when 'the dress' meme came out so I figured we'd have a little fun. Enjoy!

Summary: Gabe and Jordan argue over which colour the dress is with Drew as their tie-breaker.

Drew first heard the sounds of an argument as he was fixing his hair in the small bathroom mirror after a shower.

"It's white and gold."

"No. Black and blue."

"Are you an idiot? That is clearly white lace."

"Dude, it's right there! Blue dress with a black trim!"

"You're a fucking idiot. It's white and gold."

"The user who posted it even says it's black and blue!"

"Like I'm going to take the word of someone with sixteen followers and whose Twitter handle is '@TheMemestress'."

"Drew. Drew! Can you please come and tell Gabe that this dress is clearly blue and black!"

Sighing, Drew poked his head out the bathroom doorway and stared at the pair of younger roadies seated on the sofa in the living area. A laptop was balanced on Gabe's lap as he and Jordan both stared at it with conflicting expressions. Jordan looked as though he was trying to get through to a five-year old. Gabe looked downright murderous. That alone was enough of an indication to know they'd been at this for a while.

"What are you idiots doing?"

"They've been at it for an hour," another voice piped up.

Ryan was reclined on the armchair opposite the pair and watching them with a hopeless expression. He turned his head toward Drew. "I'm not getting involved after last time."

"And," Jordan said, taking the laptop from Gabe as he rose to his feet. He then proceeded to theatrically throw himself across the sofa arm with an exasperated sigh. "Since Ryan refuses to settle the score, you're the tie-breaker."

Drew turned to Ryan. "Translation?"

Ryan rolled his eyes. "This chick posted this photo of a dress on Twitter and these two have been debating whether it is black and blue or white and gold. Spoiler alert: nobody cares."

Drew chuckled, amused, and walked towards the pair arguing on the sofa. "Alright, let me see."

He took the laptop from Jordan and studied the profile hard. It only took seconds for Drew to draw his conclusion and he handed the device back to the younger roadie.

"Well?" Jordan urged, and Drew could see Ryan and Gabe holding their breath as they all awaited his answer.

"I don't know what you're all on about." Drew shook his head. "The dress is white and gold."

Gabe turned a nasty smirk on Jordan, who gaped in response at Drew. "You're joking."

"I'm not. It's white and gold."

"Let me see!" Jordan snatched the laptop off Drew as though he salvage his pride. He then frowned. "Wait, this is white and gold. The fuck?"

Drew watched as Jordan's face morphed into a mixture of confusion and anger. The younger roadie turned sharply to look at Gabe, demanding, "What did you do?"

Gabe snickered. "I didn't do anything."

"You did! This is a different dress."

"It's the same dress, Jordan. Don't get your thong in a twist."

Jordan stuck his tongue out at Gabe, who scoffed. "That's mature."

"I don't understand!" Jordan whined, turning back to face Drew and Ryan. "It was black and blue!"

Drew was attempting to find a rational explanation to give the distraught roadie when he noticed Gabe barely keeping it together on the sofa behind them.

"Gabe, what did you do?"

Gabe's constant sneer twisted into a cruel smile. "What makes you think I did anything?"

"Because you're barely containing yourself."

"Wait a minute," Ryan looked up from his phone with an intent look. "It says there's two images going around on Twitter. One of the photos is blue and black, the other is white and gold. Apparently it's based on colour perception."

Jordan narrowed his eyes. "What did you just say?"

"There's two versions of the photo. One is the original, blue and black, and the other is altered. It's based on your own perception."

Jordan turned on Gabe. "You knew, didn't you?"

Gabe laughed sharply then, unable to keep it together any longer. Standing, he took the laptop from Jordan and hit the left arrow key. The image changed on the screen to a blue and black dress. Hitting the right arrow key, it changed back to white and gold.

"What the fuck." Jordan whispered under breath, mesmerised.

"You changed the photo." Drew said to Gabe.

"Oh my God." Ryan laughed, pinching his nose as Gabe smirked.

"It was too easy. He's not very perceptive."

"You suck, Gabe!" Jordan cried, snatching the laptop back and alternating between the two images as if he couldn't believe it. "You're a piece of shit."

"You're so gullible. It makes everything so easy."

"Yeah, well I'm gonna go throw all your shirts in the wash with a red sock and test your colour perception!"

Gabe glanced very slowly down at his all-black attire and back up at Jordan. The younger roadie screamed and stormed off to the back of the bus, yelling something about long-time coming vengeance.

Gabe watched him go with a glance before turning to Drew. "So, lunch?"

"You're the worst." Drew laughed, slapping Gabe on the back.

Ryan stood and together the three headed toward the front of the bus. On the way out, Drew called to Jordan to ask if he wanted anything.

"I'll just get whatever you're having!"

Gabe hummed. "Okay. So, blueberries or maybe black pudding?"

Another scream of anger sounded from the back of the bus and Drew chuckled as he passed Gabe and went down the steps. "I take it back. You're the Devil, Gabe Black."

"Even better." Gabe turned a callous grin in Jordan's direction. "Don't have to act like an angel."

"You have never been an angel." Ryan added.

The three laughed together as they headed into town. Drew knew this wouldn't be the last time they laughed at Jordan's expense but hopefully Gabe wouldn't be so cruel next time.

Then again, probably not.
