as much as jihoon hated to admit it, the boy's bubbly personality was certainly causing an effect on him. he often found himself waking up at the ass crack of dawn just to visit the soonyoung's studio and be immersed in his skills. seungcheol was seeing a softer and more vulnerable side of jihoon as well, which pleased him. it was nice having an actual human being to converse with instead of a home gremlin who shuts himself inside his room when the opportunity was presented.
once again, he found himself sitting criss-crossed on the floor while staring mindlessly at soonyoung, etching every single step and movement of his into his mind so jihoon never forgets it, because after all, how can soonyoung be a forgettable person? that stupid aura ever since the first day they've met still followed the dancer wherever he went, and jihoon followed him too.
he was a captivating human being, and jihoon was having second thoughts about his seamed heart. maybe, just maybe he could cut off a tiny piece of the thread that blinded his heart, unraveling it slowly and opening up his little music producing world to soonyoung, who would no doubt be ecstatic to see the universe in jihoon's head. everyone he had met told him that his skills were wondrous but jihoon pushed all the compliments aside because now at this moment, only soonyoung's matter.
jihoon was still slightly hesitant, he came to seoul to produce music and hopefully get it into a bigger market, not to make friends. but soonyoung was the one person he'd most probably show anything to willingly, and probably the only person. so jihoon has made an official decision in his head to show his work that he has been working on so hard for the past three months.
"hey what're you thinking about?" soonyoung laughed as he walked over. jihoon smiled warmly, before shaking his head.
"you don't need to know kwon hoshi." hoshi was soonyoung stage name that he used whenever he performed, despite loving the nickname of tiger, it did seem either too childish or too lame to use as a stage name so that idea was dismissed quickly.
soonyoung pouted, "call me soonyoung, i like it better when you use my real name."
"soonyoung."
soonyoung nodded in approval, "ding dong correct, you're learning!"
jihoon sighed, "you're practically a child, how do i deal with you sometimes."
soonyoung shrugged before standing up again, "well my small break is over, im back to dancing but you can stay because im changing the song." jihoon thanked the lords above so much because he couldn't stand listening to "yummy" for the tenth time on repeat. sure, he was only able to listen to it only because of how well soonyoung choreographed it but the music was definitely not his taste. being completely honest, if it were any other person, jihoon might just say "fuck that" and walk out of the room, no human could convince him to stay unless it's soonyoung.
glancing over at the mirror, he could see every single bead of sweat dripping down his nape. his constant footwork showed the dancer's agility and jihoon could remember how soonyoung proudly told him that he had been training for over eight years already during one of their hangouts.
jihoon was undoubtedly lost in soonyoung's personality and how there's much more underneath the surface, he just needed to dive.
💥
after staying at the studio for a little longer than he wished for, jihoon decided to head back home and possibly make some improvements to his latest piece that jihoon would himself reveal to soonyoung. he could practically imagine the excitement on the dancer's face and you could possibly say jihoon was in love.
hunching over his computer, jihoon was hidden under a blanket working on the last minute adjustments to his song, such as making it a more faster beat to soonyoung's liking, bass boosting it up to soonyoung's liking, and adding even more synths, and you guessed it, to soonyoung's liking. but surprisingly, the music actually turned out to be even more better than the original version.
it was practically a masterpiece and if jihoon could just get soonyoung to like it then maybe, maybe they could have that duo performance that soonyoung mentioned even since their second meeting. smiling, he quickly saved the demo onto his thumb drive, and closing his laptop before heading off to sleep.
oh no though, because jihoon had missed the blaring pop-up on his laptop that warned him about a possible virus.
