Tris Pov (it been a long time)

I sit. On a chair. A very uncomfortable one might I add. That isn't important though. my elbows rest on my knees. One bounces and shakes me with it. I have been doing this for the last 10 months. I can't even acknowledge this is even happening. It feels like a dream. I just want to know what she is thinking about. What the doctors are thinking. What I was thinking when I let them to this to her. I should have never agreed to this. She wont even remember what is happening in the real world. She will be so confused. She'll hate me for this. The door that lead out side open and I look over to see Tobias holding McKenzie in his arms. "Any news yet?" He asks nervously as he takes the seat next to me. I shake my head 'no'. He sighs and wraps an arm around my shoulder and pulls me closer. "She will be fine. She made her own decision and told you she wanted to do it." I can tell by the way he talks that he isn't even sure if that's the truth or not.

"I'm just so nervous. I didn't think it would take this long. and they aren't telling us anything. Its so frustrating." Tobias kisses my forehead and I rest my head on his collarbone and wrap one of my arms around his torso and the other around McKenzie.

"Its okay Mama." McKenzie tells me and pets my head. I smile a little. I'm glad she doesn't know what is going on.

"Yeah, its okay mama." Tobias repeats and I nudge him a little and he chuckles.

"You are still a child."

"Always have and always will be." He tells me. I roll my eyes. Suddenly the doors open and cool air is let in from it. A man walks out.

"Eaton family?" He calls out, and we both jump up and walk fast over to him.

"Is she awake?" is the first thing I ask him.

"She will be in a little bit. She was pulled out though. She found what she wanted, and carried it out. You may go in and see her." He tells us and we dun passed him and into the room. I stop short as I look at her. Her usual tan skin, like Tobias, is now an odd shade of white, her hair is dull, and don't sparkle when the light hits it,then there is her body. She looks like a skeleton that still has skin on it. I slowly walk toward the bed and stand next to it. Her eyes are shut, and I can hear her faint breaths. I hold her hand in my and brush the hair from her face. She seems so fragile, like if I move her to much, she will shatter in my arms. I see Tobias on the other side of the bed smiling like there's no tomorrow, and I laugh, which let's a single tear roll down my cheek.

"Don't cry mama. its all right." McKenzie tells me and that makes me smile even wider. "See its al-right," She stutters a little with her words as she points down. "She awake." I look down, and look into her blue eyes, they are the same color blue as before, but now the don't sparkle, and shimmer with happiness and joy.

"Hi sweetheart." She blinks her eyes a couple times and looks around. "How do you feel?"

"Weak." she says with a faint voice. "Where am I?"

"Your in the hospital."

"What happened?"

"Nothing, your perfectly fine. You just did a test to see what happens if you find what you want and have a way to get it."

"Wait-so all of my memory isn't real? All I remember is... well I don't know." she sits up slowly in her bed. "What should I know?"

"Well, who we are." Tobias says.

"Yeah, you guys are my parents. Aren't you famous or something?" She asks. Tobias and I look at each other and laugh.

"No sweety, we aren't."

"What? But, I thought..." She trails off.

"I'm just so glad to have you back after 10 months."

"Wait, hold the phone. Let's start from the beginning, because I am very confused." She says.

"Well, what from the beginning do you want us to start from?"

"How you guys met."

"We were friends when we were little, and then I moved away to Chicago, and when you mom was 15 she moved to Chicago as well."

"Were you guys... like.. abused? As children? By your parents?"

"What! Of course not."

"Well, I got that wrong. Okay, so then when and how did you get married?"

"Do you really want to know this stuff?" Tobias and I not ask at the same time.

"Nope, not really." She says and leans back, but then sits up again. "I just have one mire question. How old am I?"

"Your eleven years old. You'll be turning twelve in 4 months."

"Interesting."

"Is there something wrong with that?"

"No, there is nothing wrong at all."

She is released from the hospital the next day. We bring her home and when we open the doors, she squeals in happiness as everyone from the family screams,

"Welcome home, Emily!"
