Harry

The next morning I woke Josie up early, so she could get to daycare and I could get to work.

"Lets go, Jose." I said, helping her get dressed.

I helped her put on her backpack as we made our way to the car, where I put her in her car seat.

The next few days were going to be very busy at the office, seeing as though I was going out of town next week.

"We're making a quick stop, Jose," I told her as we were driving and turned into the parking lot of a coffee shop.

I desperately needed caffeine to get through my busiest day today.

I parked and helped her out of her car seat as we made our way inside to a surprisingly packed shop.

We stood in line for a couple minutes before it was our turn to order.

"Can I get just a large black coffee, and one strawberry donut?" I ordered, and the girl at the counter wrote down our order. She then placed a donut in a bag and handed it to me.

"Don't tell your mother," I whispered to Josie, handing it to her as she squealed with delight.

We were waiting patiently for my coffee to be done when a woman stepped up beside me.

"Excuse me," She spoke, a coffee in her hand. "I think I might've grabbed yours by accident."

"Oh. Thank you," I said, taking it from her and she smiled at me.

"No problem."

"Let's go, Princess," I spoke to Josie, taking her hand and leading her back outside to the car.

Once we were both inside and buckled up, I went to take a sip of my coffee when something caught my eye.

Written in sharpie on the receipt stuck to the side of my cup was:

Julia (267) 815-4100

I was surprised. It must've been the woman that got our coffees mixed up.

I couldn't say for sure that I would call her, but the thought of it intrigued me.

I hadn't been romantic with anyone in three years... maybe that was a lie.

I've had sex, hookups, but nothing substantial which I knew was what I wanted now:

A real, meaningful relationship like Jack and Amanda, even though I hated to admit.

That's all I wanted.

With finals coming up in a few days, I could feel myself starting to get stressed, but I tried to calm myself.

After class, I spent about 2 hours in the library trying to cram for my exams before it was time to pick up Josie from daycare.

I made my way to Bright Horizons, Josie's daycare at 1:30 on the dot, which was when I was supposed to get her.

I watched as all the kids filed out the front door, ready to be picked up by their parents. I spotted Josie, her curly hair in two surprisingly neat braids which I assumed was done by Harry.

I got out of the car and made my to the entrance where she ran up to me.

"Hi mommy!" She exclaimed, giving my leg a hug.

"Hi sweetie," I said, picking her up and carrying her towards the car. "Did you have a good day?" She nodded, and then handed me a piece of paper.

"Look at what I made!"

I took the piece of paper and examined it, seeing 4 stick figure drawings.

There were 3 stick figures off to the left side of the page; an arrow pointing to each of them, distinguishing between each of us.

Mommy, Daddy, Me

The off to the right there was another stick figure labeled, Jack

"Oh, wow, Jose!" I exclaimed, trying to hide my confusion. "You drew this? It's wonderful..."

She continued to smile, clearly proud of work as I put her in her car seat.

I didn't really know what to think, but I was probably overthinking it. It's just a harmless drawing.

Josie absolutely adores Jack.

I knew there was a possibility that she wanted her, Harry, and I to all be together but... that wasn't going to happen.

I buckled up and pulled out of the daycare parking lot and began to drive home.

"Did you have fun at Daddy's last night?" I asked her as we drove.

"Mhm." She answered, playing with the straps on her backpack in front of her. "Daddy misses you." She said suddenly and I sucked in a sharp breath.

"What?" I questioned. "Did he tell you that?"

"No, I heard him talking when he thought I was asleep." She giggled, and I looked at her in the rear view mirror.

"Sweetie, I miss your dad, too but-"

"Let's go live with daddy then!" She exclaimed, her eyes becoming wide with excitement.

"Jose, you know I still care about your dad, but we're not living together because we don't love each other that way... mommy and Jack love each other." I told her and she nodded, but her lip was sticking out in a pout. "But we all love you and that's all that matters, okay Jose?"

"Okay." She sighed, casting her head down at her lap.

I sighed, even though she had said okay, I felt like I had another problem on my hands...
