The Piston Cup

Amelia wakes up to a loud banging sound on her Cozy Cone.

"Mater, go away. It 6:30 in the morning!" She says as she covers her ears with her pillow.

"A, hurry up we're gonna miss the race!"

"What!" Amelia squeals as she throws her covers off and goes to the door. Mater, Doc, Fillmore, Sarge, Flo, Ramone, Luigi and Guido, are all standing at her door.

"Get changed kiddo, quickly." Doc says.

Amelia slams the door out of excitement and quickly gets changed into her black tank top and a pair of grey tights. She slips on her blue leather jacket to keep her a little bit warmer on the ride there. She also quickly brushes through her long waist length hair.

As she heads out the door she puts her glasses on. "Are you kidding me? If your joking I'll have all of your tires!" Amelia threatens.

"No jokes here, A, now git on!" Mater exclaims as he turns his flatbed towards her. Amelia jumps on easily with a single bound and sits down as Mater speeds off.

"Hey Amelia." Doc says as they drive along the highway.

"Yea Doc."

"About last night. It's not because your a girl that I don't want you racing, and I believe in you more than anyone else, you got that." Amelia just stays silent as he continues. "I just don't want to see you getting hurt. When Lightning mentioned it to you at Willies Butte I was afraid of what might happen to you."

"Like your crash." Amelia finally says. Doc looks down to the road. "Yes, like my crash."

"And if you find yourself your own sponsor, I'd be honoured to help you in your racing career, if thats what you decide to do."

Amelias eyes widen."Really Doc? You mean it?"

"Yes. I'll even help you find your own race car."

Amelia squeals, "You're the best Doc! If I could hug you right now I would"

"Don't go jumping off vehicles now." Doc laughs.

Amelia peeks over Maters roof as they approach the racetrack. She jumps off when they see Mack at Lightning's pit stop.

"Hey Mack!" Amelia yells.

"You guys made it!" He says happily

"How's he doing?" Doc asks taking a headset.

"Distracted, he can't get his head in the game."

Amelia grabs her own headset and puts it on. Just hearing the last of a sentence McQueen was saying. Amelia jumps up onto the crew chief pedestal beside Doc, leaning up against him so she doesn't slip off.

"I didn't come all this way to see you quit." Doc says into the headset. McQueen looks over to see almost the entirety of Radiator Springs, he is a little disappointed that Sally isn't here.

"Guys your here!" Lightning says cheerfully.

"Mater didn't get to say goodbye." Doc says.

"Goodbye!" Mater yells, "ok I'm good" he states. Amelia giggles.

"I knew you needed a crew chief, but I didn't know it was this bad." Doc says.

Lightning pulls into his pit stop with screeching of tires. "If you can race as well as you can fix roads, you can win this race with your eyes shut."

"Go get em' Red Racer!" Amelia shouts. At that Lightning shoots off back into the race again, Amelia whistles, starting high pitch going to low pitch. "Damn he's fast."
