I know! I'm sorry, It's been a long time since I last wrote a chapter. I've been having writers block along with working on my post-secondary application and now I'm working full time to actually be able to go to school. Plus my cat broke his lower jaw so I've had to take care of him. Hopefully y'all like this chapter. Not sure how good it's going to be... Also not sure when I'll be uploading next, this story may be coming to an end. Thank you so much for the reads!
—————————————————————————Lightning sits with Sally at Flo's V8 cafe. He half expects her to come out of her cone but soon realizes she won't ever walk through that door again.
"Hey Stickers..." Sally says sympathetically. Lightning glances over to her to notice almost everyone at the cafe is looking at him. "We're all here for you, you know that right." She says quietly.
"Yea, I know." He smirks slightly and gives Sally a small kiss on her fender before he drives down the main road.
Sally watches him leave. "He still doesn't rev his engine like he used to, it feels like I'm looking and talking to a completely different car... guys I don't know what to do." Sally says on the verge of tears as she turns to her friends.
"Honey, he's still grieving, he'll get better and he'll be revving his engine at Willies butte again. It just takes time." Flo says comfortingly.
"Well, I sure do hope ya right Flo." Mater cuts in "he doesn't want ta go tractor tippin anymore."
Sally looks over to Doc, who has his eyes down to the ground, it looks as if he's writing something. "Doc, what are you looking at?" She asks.
Docs eyes shoot up from the ground, "what? Oh, nothing, just... just some paper work for parts that I need." He then takes the paper and drives off to his garage.
"Well, uh, imma go see is I cin cheer up Lightnin." Mater says as he drives off as well.

Shuri goes speeding through the dirt, the tip of her tongue sticking out of her mouth. She jerks her wheels to the side to try and drift but her back end comes too loose flipping her around backwards bringing her to a stop. "Ugh! I'm never going to get it!" She stomps her front wheel in frustration. She then catches a glance of bright red. She sees Lightning driving a little ways away from her. Her face brightens up immediately. She hits the acceleration, her back wheels spinning a little. She comes speeding up to Lightning.
"Hey Lightning! Are you doing anything?" Shuri asks.
Lightning doesn't even have time to comprehend what's going on at the moment.
"Great!" Shuri continues even though Lightning didn't give an answer. "I need your help."
"With what?" Lightning asks.
"I can't drift... I just can't figure it out. It's like I get into and then it just doesn't happen."
"Ok, ok. Calm down, it's not like not knowing how to drift is the end of the world." Lightning says chuckling.
"Well, I would beg to differ... especially if I need it to race!" Shuri says back at him. "Will you teach me, please." She says pleadingly. After a long pause of thought Lightning agrees, "Fine, I'll teach you." He drives over to the dirt spot just behind town to give her a lesson. "Ok, first things first, you gotta turn left to turn right," the young racer just looks at him all confused, he rolls his eyes. Is this how Doc felt with me... Lightning thinks. "Ok, Tsunam, or Shuri," Lightning quickly corrects himself although he can't seem to stop wanting to call the racer Tsunami. "Listen and watch carefully, when you approach the corner you want to turn your front tires in the opposite direction you want to go." McQueen demonstrates this to her. "Once you've got that you want to swing your back bumper to the side so you loosen your grip and then that will lead you into a drift, once your into it you've got to turn your tires like this." Lightning demonstrates for the new racer.
