[12.] Two Foxes Determination!

As we ran through the forest I felt my breath getting shorter, I was reaching my limits but I didn't want to stop yet. 'I'm sure we've all noticed our pace has slowed down a lot' I thought focusing on my breathing. Sakura and Chiyo looked weared down too and even though Naruto wouldn't admit it, he was very tired.

"Let's break," Kakashi said stopping completely and setting up camp. "We'll rest for awhile before we start advancing again." 

"What! We can't just sit here and rest while Gaara is—"

"Naruto," I muttered, showing off Dark Mito a bit. "Kakashi-sensei said we're going to rest for awhile." 

"I-I know"

"Mito please cam down it's just Naruto's usual stubbornness," Sakura laughed nervously trying to get me under control. 'I hate feeling exhausted and Naruto is making it worse!'

"You've noticed we're slowing down right?" I asked pointing at him touching the tip of his nose.

"So! What does that matter, Gaara's—"

"In trouble, we're all worried, but ultimately we'll end up taking longer if we don't rest up to get back up to speed." I explained wanting nothing more for him to start thinking with his head, I loved how caring he was, but it got in the way sometimes.  "Do you get it now Naruto, you need to rest up too!"

"Yes Ma'am," Naruto grumbled beginning to set up his sleeping bag and I followed suit. 'Guess it's time to crash' I thought unable to shake off the image from earlier. 'Why did I have to kiss genjutsu Sasuke!' I blushed burying deeper in my sleeping bag. I thought I had changed from my thirteen year old self, but obviously not enough. 'I matured in other ways,' I thought putting a hand on my chest. 'Go to bed Mito!'

"Goodnight," I mumbled to myself shutting my eyes tightly and eventually going into a deep sleep.

Dream Sequence~

"Mito," a voice called out poking my cheek repeatedly which was really annoying. "Wake up dobe did you stay up late again?"

"Sasuke, a few more minutes please," I groaned staring at him perched in my window. It was a normal occurrence, we've been dating for  almost three years now. 'He can never let me sleep in' I sighed feeling him lift me off the bed and into the living room.

"Why can't you use the door like a normal person teme!" Naruto complained trying to hide the fact he was eating ramen in the morning. "You should let her sleep in Baa-Chan has been sending her on missions non-stop," he said while chewing his food.

"Don't talk with your mouth full" I yawned groggily leaning on Sasuke's shoulder. "I'm fine Uchiha, why don't we go to the...HEY! W-what're you doing?"

"If you're that tired we're going back to bed," he answered with a small smirk making me blush.

"We?" I asked

"Hn, the way things should be."

End of Sequence~

"Mito, Mito" a voice called out shaking me vigorously. 'Why can't I sleep in, my dream!'

"Sa!" I sat up quickly, but I remembered that wasn't reality. "Sakura! I'm sorry was I being a little difficult?" I asked smiling apologetically.

"No you're fine, Naruto on the other hand" Sakura growled looking over at Naruto who was still sleeping peacefully.

"Our break is over, Mito could you wake up your brother," Kakashi sweatdropped and I happily complied. 'They don't know how to wake him up properly.'

"Nii-San it's time to save Gaara" I cooed seeing his ear twitch "we are going to save Gaara right?"

"I'm up! Of course we are let's get going already!"

"Hai!" I smiled as we is packed up our stuff and hit the road again. 'Our pace has quickened, we'll make it to Gaara in no time!' I thought feeling kind of happy it was weird, but my mood was only going up. "No way! Is that Lee's chakra?" I started running faster besides Naruto who was starting to fox out.

"Hang on Gaara," he gritted looking at me with his red eyes I could see the shock on his face so I'm guessing mine went red too.

"We're going to save him, no matter what."

"That was always the plan dattebayo!"
