[21.] Early Morning Run-Ins!

I finally got out of the water after what seemed like ages and got into a light blue kimono for dinner. I seriously couldn't remember the last time I had been able to relax at a hot spring this long. 'Hm I should out my hair up' I thought to myself putting it in a messy ponytail.

"Finally! I've been waiting for you," Sakura smiled locking our arms together. "I didn't want to head over with Naruto and...Sai" She grumbled starting a mini rant and I just listened with a small smile. Eventually we made it to the dining area only to be met with a buffet sized meal. 

"Wow! Dattebayo this is all for us?" Naruto grinned sitting down and I sat between him and Sakura to avoid Sai. 'What's his deal anyway' I thought staring him down, which he noticed causing me to stare harder. 'Not easily intimidated, he still has that stupid smile on his face.'

"Of course, it's my treat" Captain Yamato smiled urging us all to eat, but I just stuck with plain rice. Unfortunately I was still a picky eater and didn't care much for the variety of food in front of me.

"Thank you for the food!"

"Thank you," I mumbled ignoring the rest of the conversation about Yamato being so amazing for treating us. I still wasn't convinced about this guy, there was something off about the both of them. 'Am I just being paranoid...I doubt it' I thought staring at Yamato intensely.

"M-mito, why don't you eat some meat?" Yamato smiles offering me some food, but I silently shake my head. 'I still wanna know how he can do wood style' I thought finishing my rice bowl. Naruto nudges me and I look at him wearily, it was one of his pouty faces.

"Why're you doing that," I hissed trying to look away, but he got me. I was a sucker for his pout.

"Give Captain Yamato a chance dattebayo!" He smiled putting his hands together, I just blankly stared. 'Hm whatever I guess if Naruto and Sakura trust him, but if I regret this...'

"Fine," I sighed "Captain Yamato?"

"Y-Yes Mito!" He answer's a little too eagerly and to hide my blush I turned away pointing to the meat.

"I-I'll..can I have some now?" I asked turning back to him, but he didn't seem smug at all. He just handed it over with his usual smile, "arigato...and I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it, now eat up!" He ordered and soon everyone began digging in. We all chatted idly without revealing anything too personal, but it was kind of fun. 'Time for bed' I thought getting up from the table after my fourth yawn.

"You're going to bed already?" Naruto asked grabbing my hand so I couldn't walk away just yet.

"Mhm, goodnight everyone" I mumbled feeling the fatigue hit me. A good meal and a hot bath was enough to tucker me out, I was ready to hit the pillow.

"Alright goodnight dattebayo!" Naruto smiled kissing my forehead bringing a smile to my face.

"Yeah goodnight," I grinned going to my shared room with Sakura and immediately passing out. The beds were so comfortable it felt like I was sleeping on air. 'This is so amazing! And Captain Yamato is kind of nice, his chakra can be genuine at times. However Sai's is still so unpleasant I wish I could forget it, it puts a bad taste in my mouth.'

In the morning I woke up to Sakura's light snoring, it was still really early so I doubt anyone else would be awake at this time. That's why I decided to check up on Naruto to make sure he survived a night alone with Sai. 'What would I do if I found them both dead? I'm sure they killed each other,' I mused slowly opening the door. There Naruto was all sprawled out snoring extremely loud and drooling, I almost felt bad for Sai...almost.

"Sweet dreams Nii-san~" I cooed pulling the blanket over him and that's when I noticed Sai was climbing out the window. 'What a weirdo he can just use the door..and why is he fully dressed?'

"Do you always baby your brother?" He asked narrowing his eyes at us, but I just rolled my eyes and stepped away from Naruto.

"Yes, I care about him more than anything" I whispered back sharply with a small glare. "Where are you going at this time huh? Why do you have to sneak out of a window, are you hiding something?"

"You ask lot of questions," he said completely ignoring me.

"Hm and you don't answer them," I mumbled, but he just climbed out of the window. 'That little shit,' I grumbled grabbing the back of his shirt.

"It's really none of your business, but if you care so much why not follow me," he more stated than asked. At first I was caught off guard because it seemed like he was inviting me to come with him. 'There's no way he's asking, he's just being snarky' I thought trying to decide what to do, he was getting far away, so I climbed out of the window after him.

"Hey wait up jerk!" I yelled running to catch up, but he didn't stop. 'I really don't like this guy' I huffed finally walking beside him, but he didn't spare a glance.

"Jerk?"

"It's a nickname," I explained with a sweet smile.

"Oh then can I give you one?" He asked looking over at me for a few seconds. "Hm how about melo—"

"Shut up dattebayo!"
