Destination Fear - Dakota Laden

-time skip to being in the new location-

Walking into the dark room your black jeans cling to your shaking legs. You all lug in the equipment as you set up your base. As everyone focuses on setting up you piece your camera together as you begin singing "dakotaaaa you little bitchhhh choosing stupid ass locationnns" you hear Chelsea snicker as Dakota kicks your leg,laughing as he walks to his bag.

Walking down the hall of the asylum, you and Alex lead. The location was silent and did not have the slightest negative feel. "Today's gonna be a good night"tanner behind you says swiping his camera around. You walk beside Alex as he walks with the ovulus. All of a sudden "Hail" speaks out of the machine as you jump "as in weather?" chelsea says confused as we all look down at it "sh" you look up at Alex who is already looking at you. "Yeah Chelsea shhh" Dakota says smiling calmly. You don't get any more response,you catch nothing on the cameras that can't be explains so as you all choose your spots to sleep, you separate. Dakota offers to walk you too your spot as it was past his, as you both walk in silence you get to your spot and set your cameras up, Dakota seems hesitant to leave. Slowly he shifts to the stairway "just walkie me if you need me" he whispers as he turns around walking up the stairs "always gonna be there" he says not knowing you heard. Laying in your bag you sigh closing your eyes. You don't realise you had drifted off till you are being shaken away and there's a light and camera in your face "we can't find Dakota" chelsea says making you sit up. "He isn't at his spot and he has left all his equipment,even his walkie talkie" you groan "maybe he heard something and went to check" you say rubbing your eyes and standing up. "We have been looking for an hour" Alex says this makes you wake up abruptly "WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME"you yell as you ran your walkie and camera. You all begin running up to his spot, you see all his stuff scattered around his bed and notice the dark coloured SnapBack laying where his feet should be. " we stay in a group" Tanner says aggressively. You search for ages and Alex starts the ovulus "if anyone's here,we need to find Dakota please" he says his voice desperate and tired. You get no response, you get increasingly more and more scared. "Suicide" you hear the machine say as you all jump and look at each other "what..." chelsea chokes out. You and tanner both look at each other immediately and speak in sync "The balcony..suicide balcony" loudly. You both begin sprinting as the others follow. as you get into the hallway you hear notice the air getting thicker. You both continue sprinting u till you are near. Tanner stops you,putting a finger on his lips he signals you all the be be quiet. You walk around the corner looking into the room that the balcony leads off of. You see the door open as the hole ridden curtains sway. You point the camera in as you slowly walk towards the door,Tanner closely next to you as Chelsea and Alex are hot on your tail, you walk through the door admiringly scared and nervous.At first glance you don't see anyone untill you look to the further side and see the tall brunette standing looking out of the balcony. You look at the others who hadn't made it through the door yet,nodding. "Dakota?" You say as calm as possible as you see no movement from him. his stare fixated on the trees surrounding the area. "Dak..." tanner says looking at the motionless brunette boy. You make a hand movement,telling them all to stay still. You quietly approach him, as you stand behind him,you can't even hear him breathing as his hands lay on the barrier lightly. Putting your hand on his shoulder you lightly turn him around trying not to freak out,as he faces you,you don't look up.Worried that it was not Dakota that was there. You wait a few seconds in the silence as the others stand near the door. Your eyes travel up as you look at the brunette, you see him looking still straight ahead, his gaze still fixated. "fucking hell..." Alex mutters. "What the fuck has this done to my brother" Chelsea whispers,anger replacing her previous fear. You look up at his now dull brown eyes. "Guys message the RV we need to get out of here as soon as we can" you whisper not taking your eyes off him. Your left hand goes off his shoulder,slowly rubbing down his arm. "Dakota.." you say looking for any sort of response. You feel a tear drip down your face as your hands rub his arms. His body was cold, the exposed skin on his arms freezing. As the others surround you both. "Come on Dak..." you let out a choke as you continue "I need my protector..who else is gonna save me from my fears" you look up to brown eyes looking at you,they were still vacant. Tanner holds Chelsea by the side of him. "Come on,Dak....we need the leader" you laugh looking up at his gaze. You watch him slowly blink as his eyes finally move slightly looking at you. "Where am I?" He mutters looking at you all making you all let out a breath knowing he was not harmed, looking from the balcony you see the RV pull up. "Collect our things and get outside, I'll stay with dakota" you all nod as you run to your spots,hurrying to collect your stuff. You here everyone say they are outside so as you walk down you speak to what ever was around "I don't know what's here..but you haven't won..." you exit the building and climb onto the RV placing your stuff in the cupboard as you climb up closing the door.you see everyone sat silently,thinking bout what happened. As you sit beside Dakota you see Alex videoing "all I remember is needing to stay awake in case one of you needed help, then I hear Lizzy speaking on the walkie I don't remember what she said,I got up and-" he pauses as he starts thinking. The memory obviously not there. You feel the RV moving as everyone slowly begins back to normality as they text and play on their laptops,Dakota was still obviously confused by the situation. Pulling out your phone you look up at him. "I will always be there Dakota" you whisper,watching the older boy chuckle "I guess it's not always gonna be me saving you".
He gives you a kiss on the head "We will be okay as long as we all stick together,that's what family does" he says as you lightly nod. Yeah family,you are just his little sister...
