A/N: MWAHAHA! I lied. I bet you thought you saw the last of the story. NOT YET! YOU MUST FORVER DROWN IN FEELS!!! FOR I AM THE GOD IN THIS PERFECT WORLD! *creepy laugh* (please excuse my Light Yagami moment I was experiencing) Anyways, this chapter's gonna be about Haru's life after Rin and it's super dramatic and more feels and tears and yup HAVE FUN AND GRAB TISSUES!!!! Since it's also New Years I thought I'd make it that theme. Hope you all have a Happy New Year!

Haru's P.O.V

"Its been over a year now..." I whispered to myself as I was driving on the highway. Some cars driving by had New Years stickers on the windows and I smiled at the bright colors illuminating the last night of the year. I snuck a quick glance at the little bouquet of flowers was sitting next to me. Among the mix of blues and purples I spotted the little sprig of mistletoe I snuck in there. One of my favorite songs started to play on the radio and I turned up the music. I was surprised to hear this song since the band broke up a while ago, but I had no complaints as the piano started to play in the background.

When I was a young boy

My father took me into the city

To see a marching band.

He said: "Son when you grow up

Would you be the savior of the broken

The beaten and the damned?"

He said: "Will you defeat them?

Your demons and all the non-believers

The plans that they have made?

Because one day I'll leave you

A phantom, to lead you in the summer

To join the Black Parade!"

I tapped my fingers to the beat and rocked my head back and forth, shaking the car with each clumsy dance move I make. As the song continued to play on I thought about Rin. This is my second New Year without him. Well, about to be. My antisocial behavior has only gotten worse and I've only been drinking the pain away. Makoto and the others tried to cheer me up but I only put a fake smile on my face and I barely said anything. They really tried to do everything to make me feel better, but nothing worked. And nothing will.

The song finished and I arrived at the semetery (see what I did there). I checked my phone, 23:50. 'I'd better hurry' I thought as I grabbed the bouquet and got out of the car. My phone flash light was turned on so I could see through the darkness enveloping the cemetery. The place was rather small and it didn't take too long for me to find Rin's grave. His wasn't extravagant like some other people's graves. He didn't have the giant angel or cross on his, but it wasn't half buried in the ground and unnoticeable either. His was just a grey slab sticking out of the ground with some nice engravings on the ocean on it.

'Cute' I told myself.

'Rin Matsuoka'

' 1996 - 2013'

'He took what he regretted with him'

'But he couldn't take the one he loved'

Once I read the last sentence, it felt like a thousand needles were piercing through my heart. Tears started to well up in my eyes and my legs gave in on me. I fell onto the ground knees first and I put my hands on the stone to support my body. Thoughts of Rin came crashing into my mind. When he first introduced himself to the class in Elementary school, him swimming, him and I doing swim off's to see who was faster, him and I in the relay with the others, how his eyes lit up whenever he saw someone who proved as competition, how he snaps his goggles on before a race, him telling Makoto and I how he was leaving for Australia after the relay, us seeing him again at the old swim club we all went to as kids, his smile and how hard it was for me to not smile with him, his eyes and how I get lost in the deep sea of red, his voice and how I drown in his words, the way he moves so swiftly in the water, the way he cried on the roof of Samezuka, the way he told me he loved me.

"R-Rin..." I managed to stutter out his name. But just hearing his name sent me in a tsunami in memories. My chest was getting tight and I grabbed the clothes that were covering my heart. The tears came flowing out and rained on Rin's grave. The flowers I had were now on the ground next to his grave, adding a little bright color to the cloudy aura surrounding me.

"Rin... Rin... please... don't leave me here. I can't stand being alone. I know I should just be happy with the life I have, but I can't! Rin, I need you back with me. I loved you so much... Take me with you." I choked out those words and never realized the time. It was already 23:59, New Years was almost here but I was still crying.

"Haru, stand up." I froze. I could hear my heart pounding in my head.

"Come on Haru, its almost New Years. I have a present for you. If you stand up and turn around you can claim it."

I didn't even give it a second thought. I shut my eyes, stood up and turned around. I felt someone grab my waist and pull my body close to theirs. It was warm in their embrace...

"Happy New Years, Nanase Haruka." Before I could even take a breath my lips were pressed against someone else. Fireworks sounded in the distance and their lights filled the cemetery. I dropped my phone in shock and instead of standing there like a lifeless doll, I wrapped my arms around their neck and kissed back. Fireworks of my own set my body on fire. Instead of the dark and gloomy aura surrounding me, I was surround with a shining gold. They pulled back from the kiss and I opened my eyes. before me was a shining gold Rin with that warm heavenly aura surrounding him. This was unreal. I started crying again, not tears of saddness, but tears of pure joy. Something I haven't felt in a while.

"H-Happy New Years... Matsuoka Rin." I smiled and he just pulled me closer. "Don't let go..." I whispered into his jacket. He just held me tighter.

"Haru, do you want me to take you away from this world? Away from the place where you've been lonely? Away from the place that I left?" He asked me.

"Yes." I replied. He released our embrace and grabbed my hand instead.

"Close you eyes Haru. Its a little bright where we're going." I did as he told me and clenched his hand tighter.

I didn't even notice anything. Nothing seemed to change and I stood there, clenching onto Rin's hand.

"You can open your eyes now Haru."

As soon as I opened them I was greeted to a bright sun. I immediately closed my eyes and tried to adjust. When I opened them again I realized where I was. I sat on the edge of a large pool with Rin. We both had our feet in the water. I looked at the scenery around me. Cherry trees surrounded the pool and I looked up at the bright blue sky with was filled with puffy white clouds and cherry petals. I looked back at the pool and noticed it was full of cherry petals as well.

"Rin, this was always your dream to swim in a pool full of cherry tree petals." I look over at Rin was was sitting next to me.

"No, my dream was to swim in a pool full of cherry tree petals with you." he told me as he leaned in for another kiss. Our lips connected and his fingers threaded through mine.

Now this. This is a sight I've never seen before. And a sight I'm never gonna forget.
