Chapter 23: We're Back....

AFTER 4 YEARS...
MUMBAI..

MANIKS POV
It feels good to be back after such a long time. Mera Bharat Mahan...  it's been almost 4 years I went to New York to complete my studies and to look after the setting up of new branches of our company and by our company I dont mean Malhotra Industries only. All of our elders have just put everything together as they feel money is not more than friendship, values and emotions. "UGC-United Group of Companies " that's our new baby. Our new collaboration. Well Malhotra Industries still stand but under UGC. After getting my degree also I had to work hard to get to my position. I started of as a mere intern and reached to where I am today, Co-CEO of Malhotra industries and permanent board member of UGC. If I  keep my studies, degrees, business aside I miss everyone like anything. Though I had someone by my side all the time I miss the 'everyone time'. All the moms are doing charity and also looking after the businessess well ikr ladies and their multitasking.  Anirudh is now back in the team with a fabulous form, Aditi was here with me for 6 months for her exihibition which was solely hosted by her and I must say she just shined in her arts, Ashi is a young and successful gynaecologist following the footsteps of Preeti ma yes that's what I call her. Fab 5 is doing amazing..even in our jampacked schedules we pulled out time for our concerts all over the world. Cabir has his own radio station, Aliya started off her career with a blast she is ruling fashion world with ro chachu (Rohan Kapoor). Anika, well she is becoming a threat to all those pot belly politicians out there with her debates. Karthik, Abhi , Varun bhai, Arya bhai and me have worked for our business. Ajay I can't imagine he helps even in business even after all those blockbuster films of his. Navya and Dhruv have dance academy with a display of all their awards well she is classical and he is western so they planned on collaborating. And Nandini....Angel thats the only thing which comes to my mind when I think about her. I have not met her many times. Not like I didnt visit India. She shifted to Bangalore for her studies with Abhi and Mukti taking care of her and the branch over there. When she visited Mumbai I wasn't there all we did was talk over a video call. Though we all were all over the world working our ass out we managed to keep in touch. We had conference call and would face time every weekend with parents and the our youngsters as well. But now our parents think its enough of hard work and money earned we should come back and settle down and let me tell you by settle down I mean MARRIAGE. Like why.... I dont know who is fit for me (secretely thinking-maybe my angel.) Ajay and Karthik already got married two years ago on the same day like they had wished. Anirudh got engaged. Anyway all of us are also going to stay in the same place can you imagine like all our parents stayed together till now but all the kids stayed on their own.
Maan chachu( Maan Vedant) came up with this excellent idea of a one place kind of thing. Ok I understand dont give me wierd looks because its seriously like a huge building kind of thing. We have lots of common area which is still enclosed. Each house is a mansion but not that big with full of gardens as we have common gardens, common pools, hangout areas. Basically staying under same roof or maybe next to each other kinda thing. ok I think you can imagine because like so many people are earning their ass off so they should get some comfort and enjoy also. And here we land. Well I travelled in the public airlines of our company to ensure the comforts and quality IKR business minds. I wonder how my would be wife will be like. I spotted Cabir and a masked man next to him. I wonder who is he. I waved at them and went there.
Cabir: welcome back hero....
He hugged me and that other person jumped or rather pounced on me.
Manik: hey man..what are you doing..
Masked man: you didnt recognize me..
Manik: hey....champion...what's with your attire man..
Anirudh: well you should understand that I can't step out without some sort of wierd mask.
Cabir: let's go guys before someone sees us we'll talk on the way.
We secretly walked out of the airport before anyone could recognize us and sat inside their car.
All through the drive we kept rewinding some memories or more like having a guys talk.
Anirudh:  Cabir we need to pick Aashi from the hospital. I dropped her in the morning.
Manik: I can totally imagine her sitting in her cabin and reading some anatomy book like always.
Cabir: bro last time I had to sleep on the couch for her to finish reading that shit.
Anirudh: I dont understand why she keeps reading it even after  getting her degrees.
Manik: I think they keep forgetting what they read.
Cabir: chod bhai ab bathao mere liye kya laya...
Manik: jahapanah aap tho bade log hai hum kya gift de sakte hai aapko. Aap tho radio mai sunai dethe ho roj puri duniya mei woh bhi aap ka khud ka.
Cabir(shy): yaar waisa kuch bhi nhi hai. You know right I dreamt of it since then.
Manik: Proud of you man. You're nailing it. And ab yeh(pointing towards Anirudh) iska kya bolu mai bhaisahab se sabhi bowlers darthe hai. Top class hogaya yeh tho. Halla macha diya pura cricket duniya mai.
Anirudh(bright smile): I'm so thankful to you that you guys pushed me achieved my dream and make my country proud.
Manik: chal dosth sorry thank you sab nhi bolega.
Anirudh: aur I'm really thankful to my captain for giving me another chance to prove myself and follow his footsteps.

We reached the hospital and I saw Aashi coming out balancing her bag, coat, stethoscope and a big brown wrapped thing. These guys wanted to prank her so they told me hide in the backseat. She spotted the car and sat in absent mindedly.
Aashika(tired): hey Ani hey cabbage.
I was controlling my laughter when she called him cabbage and I know why. I'll tell you all maybe some other time.
Cabir: hello Mrs.Ash
I slowly yet suddenly put my hand on her shoulder and she started screaming . I had to cover her mouth and calm her down while these monkeys were laughing their ass out.
Aashika(shouting and pouncing on him): Manik.......oh my god you're back .
Manik: yes and forever.
She removed the brown wrap to reveal a big bouquet.
Aashika: welcome back Mr.Malhotra and congratulations on your success.
I side hugged her and thanked her.
We reached home and I saw all my Mommas waiting near the door with an Arti thali and pumpkin which I assume is for nazar utharna. I gave them a huge smile and took their blessings.
We heard giggling sounds and I turned  back to see Mukti , Abhi and....Nandini.
He had picked her up in bridal style and was acting as if he'll throw her into the fountain water.
Mukti came after giving them a wierd look  and wahi bharat milap again. Abhi and Nandini also came she ran and hugged all of them together and pecked cheeks. I dont know what came onto me I asked: Mere liye.
That's when she turned and ran into me and squeezed me tight which i would never mind. No, my feelings for my angel haven't gone. I do feel something special for her. I was brought of my thoughts my a peck on my cheek and I missed you from my angel.
Manik: I missed you too baby girl.
We then went in and I got to know even they are shifting back as she also completed her training.
Laya Dhawan: you guys have become so lean.
Mukti: chachi yeh ladki ka mai kya karu. Abi bhi pura time only junk food khati rahti hai. Aur jab mom dad(Rohit and Preeti) Bangalore aye the na thab maine aur mom ne sab kuch try kiya. Phir bhi nhi badli.
Abhimanyu: are yaar aap log bhi na. Chod do mere baby ko.
Preeti: Hello Mr. Murthy shadi karwane hai uska abi bhi kya baby baby banake rake ho.
Abhimanyu: Budape mein bhi baby hi rahegi aur rahi baath shadi ki tho baad mai dekhenge.
Manik: bas yaar mujhe bhook lagi hai. Chalo jaanuji let's eat. 
I put my arm around Nandini's shoulder and dragged her to the dining room.
We had lunch and waited for the others to return. And as soon as Arya bhai and Ishika bhabhi came she just ran and clung to him just like old times.

ARYA'S POV
I got down from the car and ran into the house as soon as possible. Babydoll was back finally forever. Ishu was shouting for me to be careful but I didnt care for a moment. As soon as I went in she flung into my arms and cried her heart out. My babydoll has changed so much. She's become mature, business minded, responsible , but she cannot hide her emotions in front of me or Abhi or Ani or anyone of us for that matter. I felt tears on cheeks and I realized that it's not a dream and she was still crying.
Nandini: aru.....I missed so much. I'll never go leaving you again.
Arya: I missed you too babydoll. Ab no more rona ok. We'll go for icecream treat in the evening.
She just nodded and then ran to ishika who was standing behind us smiling.
Ishika: bas mere jaan no more crying.
Chalo let's go inside.

AT NIGHT
Everyone were sitting in the patio just like old times and having dinner. After a longtime everyone was back.
