AFTER A FEW MONTHS....

NANDINI'S POV

The ball runs to the boundary and thats a four....India win the First ever WTC Final in style... Celebrations begin.

The stadium erupted in cheers and the fans almost fully Indians were on top of the world.

I was so happy , we were jumping in the stands from where we could see Anirudh and Virat celebrating and the whole team ran to them and crushed them😂..

Virat Kohli hit the winning runs and blew a kiss to Anushka. Anirudh was standing near the non-strikers end already jumping and he showed a *yes we did it* to us and ran to his captain.

Aditi was literally in tears. I feel it too. Seeing his play in an intense match like this brings back the memories of his injury.

Commentary: That was a magnificent, match winning knock from the skip and Anirudh was at his best today. New Zealand never came back into the game after these two came to the crease. What a game it has been. In these forecast conditions winning is a next to impossible task. But these guys have done it. India is the best test playing nation. Not to forget they retain their no.1 spot in ODI's as well. The No.1 batsmen in all three formats are Indians. So we can undoubtedly say INDIA is the best cricketing nation in the world and it will continue to be.

Post match:

Presenter: All right its time for the awards and a few words from the guys. So first its the man of the match.. it was a tough call between the Skipper and his deputy but Anirudh Singhania is the Man of the match in the first ever glorious WTC final. Please come forward Anirudh. How do you feel, a few words about your journey..

Anirudh: Well firstly few years back after that injury I never thought I would ever play cricket for India. But thanks to my family for encouraging and Virat bhai for giving me another chance.

Presenter: What was the mindset going to bat after the sudden collapse in batting??

Anirudh: See we were prepared for all situations. And having Virat bhai on the ground I was relaxed. From then we knew we had this. And I totally feel this award should be his. That grit and determination he has and the work he has done to bring our team here, his knock in this match. This is his trophy.

I saw Virat bhai gesturing him to take the award. But Anirudh being Anirudh went and spoke to him leaving the poor Presenter alone and clueless😂..
After a minute they both walked to the Presenter.

Anirudh: I would receive my award from Virat bhai.

Presenter: we have Virat Kohli presenting the MAN OF THE MATCH trophy to Anirudh.

Virat bhai congratulated Anirudh.

Presenter: Next could we have the loosing captain Kane Williamson here please...
Alright Kane where do you thing it went wrong??

Kane Williamson: Well Virat and Anirudh batted brilliantly. Our bowlers couldn't read the batsman's mind. Credit to both of them for their performance. Honestly after the collapse we thought we had it but they are the best at business.

Presenter: Thanks Kane.. Now could we have the winning Captain Virat Kohli please....
Congratulations Virat. It must a beautiful feeling.

Virat : well yeah naturally. Its overwhelming. We took it one at a time and the hardwork has paid off. Credit to the players, team management, support staff and all our fans.

Presenter: What were your thoughts when the batting line up collapsed in front of you??

Virat: Well as I said we didn't take the pressure of this being a final. It was another day at field for me. But once Anirudh came we built a partnership and we did it finally.

Presenter: The FIRST EVER WTC cup is lifted by Virat Kohli and we can see the glorious Indian team celebrating. New Zeeland all set to return home and India will stay here for the upcoming England series. Signing off yours......

After all their photography session we all went to the ground and congratulated them personally. After that we hung out on the ground for some time and returned to our home in London.

After the loss this was what I could do to just feel a little better. It was written before the final. Felt very bad about the rains. I'm sure our team will come back stronger and we will see beautiful knocks of KING KOHLI👑👑.
