The next day at school, Kate couldn't attend, due to her concussion even though she thought she could handle going. So, being the nice boyfriend and all, Tyler went to all her classes as a copy of her (he told all the teachers of this, and they understood), collecting all her classwork for her, while at the same time, attending all of his classes. That, of course, drained him of his magic and his physical stamina, so as soon as PE for her came along, he collapsed, exhausted, and he was sent to the nurse's office, where he was there, recovering his strength. As he recovered, he received this telepathic message from a mysterious sender: 'Aleesha Sinclair will be mine by the end of today. If you interfere, she dies. Bring her to the Baskin Robbins near Sacramento Avenue, or you both will perish!'. He groaned, and tried to get up, but failed. 'Kate, you've received a death threat,' Tyler telepathically informed her, not caring if she couldn't reply.

Meanwhile at the house, Kate was reading a book on the couch, pissed she was stuck at home. But, she had a bad feeling about something, so she stood up, only to have the blood rush to her head, making her sit back down. "Um... Mrs. MacMillan..." She said scardly. "Hmm? Kate? Are you ok?" his mom asked, and Kate nodded, lying immediately. "I just am getting a vibe that something bad is going to happen. Hey, could we get some cake at Baskin Robbins? I'll buy." Kate smiled. "Hmm, ok. Let me get my purse first," his mom said, and went upstairs to get ready. Just then, time froze. Aw great. Who froze it this time? Nick or Tyler? Kate thought, frozen mid-hop, and Tyler's ghost teleported to her, weak, but physically stable enough to perform interdimensional travel. Of course it was Tyler. I should've known. Nick only does when he wants to bug Tyler or for me, after school or on the weekend. She thought slightly annoyed."I know you can't reply, but I have come to dissuade you from coming to BR. Unfortunately, we have received a combined death threat, and I will not let you perish before I do. So, I am going to create a dummy of you, animate it, then have it blow up in the kidnapper's face. I know I'm overprotective of you, but this is absolutely necessary. I love you, furball. Don't go there!" he said, and vanished, unfreezing time as he did so. She landed her jump and got rid of Tyler's ghost. What an idiot! I've got this and at least I have a plan with the cake I'm getting, She thought annoyed as she grabbed her purse too and waited by the door.

His mom returned, though without her purse. "Mrs. MacMillan? What's the matter?" Kate asked her, suspicious. "I've decided not to go; there's something evil afoot," she said, and Kate groaned. "I know that, I know a special spell that will help us and if we don't go, something worse will happen." She said. "How would you know?" Mrs. MacMillan asked skeptically. "Psychic." Kate smiled leaving out the fact she knew time froze and Tyler confirmed it. "Still. You have no magic at the moment." Mrs. MacMillan said. "Tyler while in the nurse's office got a threat in his head saying 'Aleesha Sinclair will be mine by the end of today. If you interfere, she dies. Bring her to the Baskin Robbins near Sacramento Avenue, or you both will perish!' and I'm Aleesha Sinclair. Also weren't you a former genie?" Kate smiled mischievously. "I don't like where you're going with this girl, but yes I am a former genie, you know this." Mrs. MacMillan said. "I have a special spellbook Tyler can't read because he was never a genie. In the book is a spell that you need to read because you actually have magic right now. You will need to cast it on the cake we get. Once the person shows up to take me, they will but a unknown residue only former and current genies can see. It will lead you to where I am." Kate explained. "That could work." Mrs. MacMillan said. "Yes Tyler will be annoyed but that's because he's an overprotective boyfriend. It drives me crazy sometimes." Kate admitted. "Alright, I'll actually get my purse." Mrs. MacMillan reluctantly agreed.

On the way, Kate told Mrs.MacMillan the spell. "That's the spell?" Mrs. MacMillan laughed. "Right! And it only works on cakes too." Kate laughed. "Okay." Mrs. MacMillan said as they pulled up to Baskin Robbins and ordered a cake at the drive-thru. "It's sprinkle-ishous." Mrs. MacMillan said the spell. "That it is." Kate smiled to avoid it from seeming weird. The two enjoyed the cake waiting for the troublemaker to show up. The two had exactly what they wanted: Kate at Baskin Robbins. "I need to run to the bank to take care of something." Mrs. MacMillan said. "I'll stay here to avoid problems." Kate nodded still eating her piece of cake. "Okay." Mrs. MacMillan nodded, leaving. Kate sat at Baskin Robbins waiting for the evil thing to appear, but it seemed like she was waiting for Mrs. MacMillan to get back.
