"Ninety-eight, ninety-nine, one hundred! Okay, READY OR NOT, HERE I COME!" Kate heard her boyfriend's brother Nick yell from the cupboard she was in. She wasn't sure where the cat Snowball or her boyfriend Tyler were, but she was hoping Nick would find them first. It was a no magic use rule except Snowball's speech magic to speak human. Kate was to put all of their magic into an orb and pass it to Tyler's and Nick's mom Mrs. MacMillan to hold onto. Kate listened to hear where Nick was. She heard someone go upstairs. "Found you, Snowball!" She heard Nick call from upstairs. She then grabbed her package of cookies she bought the day before and opened it. She grabbed a couple cookies. She munched on her snack as she heard Nick come downstairs. Within a couple minutes Nick opened the cupboard. "Really?" Nick said after opening the cupboard she was in. "Cookie?" She offered. "Okay." Nick agreed.

Meanwhile Tyler was under his bed behind Kate's books and he heard from Nick's room Snowball be found. He wondered where Kate was. All he knew was she stayed downstairs but pretended to go upstairs. Hopefully Kate is found next! I want to win this round...well at least I'm not it. Tyler thought as he also remembered Snowball can help search for the two. "Hi Tyler!" Snowball said. "Ah!" Tyler yelped banging his head. "You okay?" Snowball asked. "Ya, I'm good. You startled me is all." Tyler said. "I found Kate eating cookies." Nick called from downstairs. "Of course she was eating cookies." Tyler rolled his eyes while Snowball and him went downstairs. "What? Katie's got a love for cookies." She cheekily giggled. "We know." Tyler told her. "So Snowball's it?" Kate asked. "Yep." Tyler said. "Why hasn't she been it?" Snowball asked. "Clearly I'm better at hiding." She sang off key. "You've lived here less!" Snowball said. "Doesn't matter." She said. Then Snowball started counting. "This is the last round before dinner." Mrs. MacMillan called from the kitchen.

Snowball counted to one hundred. Snowball went upstairs where he thought he heard everyone go but really Kate and Tyler faked it. He looked around and under the comforter on Nick's bed was Nick. "Found you!" Snowball said. "The other two are downstairs." Nick informed. Snowball went downstairs and immediately spotted Kate sitting behind the couch. "Really!?" Snowball said annoyed. "You went right past me." Kate laughed. Then Snowball went to look for Tyler. He walked into the kitchen and there was Tyler helping his mom put dinner on plates. "Wow! I sucked this round." Snowball said more annoyed. Mrs. MacMillan gave Kate the orb and Kate returned the magic to all of them. "Finally!" Tyler said. "You don't need magic to live." His mom said. "She has a point." Kate said. "You two are only saying because you two barely use your magic." Tyler said. "You lived years without til you found the lamp a year ago next week at school." Kate said. "Whatever." Tyler said now annoyed. "Speaking of school, did you guys all complete your homework this weekend?" Mrs. MacMillan checked in. "Yes." Tyler and Nick said. "No, but it's a group assignment and Lenora wouldn't answer me when I contacted her so I did what I could." Kate said. "Good." Mrs. MacMillan said.

After dinner, Nick did the dishes, Tyler went to get his yarn to crochet for a bit, and Kate went to hers and Tyler's room to talk on the phone. Tyler went upstairs and was about to go in their room but stopped when he heard her hang up on the phone and cry to herself. He couldn't figure out who always made her cry when they were on the phone.

He knocked on the door. "It's just me, Kitten." He said. "Come in." she murmured. "Come here Furball. What's wrong?" He solaced. "Everytime I call my mom and sisters, I get hell for disappearing from Mom, but my sisters say they miss me." She cried. "I'm sorry, come here." He pulled her into a hug. She hugged him back. She softly cried it out. After a few she looked at him. "Thanks Vcat!" She smiled wiping her tears. "Anytime." He smiled. "So, uh, what can I do to help you with this situation?" he asked earnestly, looking into her bright blue eyes. "I don't know actually." She admitted. "Do you want me to be by your side during those phone calls? I can if you wish me to be," he offered, and she knew he meant it. "If you want. I only have them every couple months." She said. "It's ok. Besides, I want to be beside you when you call them so that I might be able to say hi or stuff, you know?" he teased, and she smiled. "They call me actually. Not the other way around." She laughed quietly. "Well! We could call them first for a change, you know?" he suggested with a smile, and she laughed. "Uh, nope!" she stammered, and burst out laughing even harder. "Why not?" he asked. "Would you if roles were reversed? No, you wouldn't. Parents ain't our favourite people to call for either of us." She answered, and he rolled his eyes. "Are you certain?" he asked, unsure. "Of course! I know this because we've told the same thing to each to each other," she smirked and remarked. "Oh boy. No shit, Sherlock," he sarcastically said.

After hugging for a while, Tyler dried her tears using his shirt sleeve and let her go. "Thanks dude." She smiled. "Anytime, kitten," he said, and kissed her cheek. "I've been meaning to try a new spell Melody taught me if your interested in watching." She switched the subject. "Oh? And what might that be?" he asked, smirking. "A spell to visit dreams while we are both sleeping, basically joining our dreams." She smiled. "Hmm... ok! We can do that," he said, now attentive. She pulled a paper out of her pocket and casted some spell. "Did it work?" Tyler asked. "I think so. It's a spell she created so there could be flaws." Kate smiled. "Oh okay...wait what?!" Tyler said. "She's pretty magically gifted being Cass's kid so we should be good." Kate reassured him. Little did they know Melody messed up writing the spell so anytime one of them had a dream it would automatically come true, nightmare or regular dreams. Even their daydreams would. "Let's hope it works." Tyler said. "Agreed." Kate nodded. Tyler immediately casted a spell to make him fall asleep, even lightly. Kate took one of her melatonin tablets, then read for half an hour before falling asleep with her book on her face. A moment later, they were both dreaming.
