Chapter 2: Scenery

"Don't be trapped in someone else's dream."

      I walked in the school with Taehyung and parked my bicycle near the gates. I continued strolling in the school with Taehyung and we began sharing stories with each other. Somehow i felt comfortable around him and it didn't feel weird. I guess my dad was right. Daegu people sure are friendly. But i can't be too sure until i get to know more about the students in this school.

     "Hey, i need to go to the principal's office."

     "Sure, see you later i guess."

     He then walked back to his class while i walked towards the principal's office. As i reached the door of the office, an audible gulp came from me as i'm not sure of what to expect. I proceeded to knock on the door and heard a gentle voice from inside telling me to come in. I opened the door to see a warm and friendly principal. I expected the principal to be more scarier but it's not what i thought it was. I'm starting to lean towards my dad's words. I sat down on the chair facing the principal and he began to explain to me about the school.

(Taehyung POV)

     "Y/N looks friendly and kind, hope she ends up in my class."

     I whispered to myself as i let out a big smile. I walked in the class and went to my table. I put my bag down and took out my notes for the first period which was maths. I wasn't particularly interested as i've always wanted to go and pursue music. I want to make my parents proud of me. I want to make their lives better.

     Maybe i should start playing the saxophone once i enter highschool. That sounds like a good idea. I wonder if Y/N is interested in music.

(Y/N POV)

     "Sheesh, that was a lot of info to take in."

     I mumbled to myself as i head towards the classroom that i was supposed to go to with my homeroom teacher. Class 2B? This school is so huge that i might get lost in it. I wish that Taehyung was here to accompany me too. I'm still not comfortable with this environment. My teacher talked to me on the way there and i managed to get a few words out and she understood what i was trying to say. I was relieved that the situation didn't get worse. As we were about to reach the classroom, i felt so nervous that i couldn't think of anything.

     My homeroom teacher opened the door and the other teacher as well as the entire class was staring at my direction. I started fiddling with my fingers and wanted to look away. The homeroom teacher brought me in after telling the other teacher that i was the new student here. My homeroom teacher told me to introduce myself to the class.

     "Annyeonghaseyo, my name is Y/N, I hope that we would be able to get well together."

     I saw a few smiles from the class as they started to accept me in the class. As i look around, i saw Taehyung playing with his pencil. The homeroom teacher told me to go to the empty seat beside Taehyung. I walked towards my seat and Taehyung finally noticed me.

     "Hey, i didn't expect you to be the new student in my class."

     He grinned widely and it made me admire his boxy smile. It was unique.

     "I didn't expect it either."

     I exchange smiles with him and he smiled back at me. I suddenly got that feeling of calmness as i talked to Taehyung. Some other students was confused as they didn't expect me to know Taehyung well. At least there were no negativity coming from them. During that entire math lesson, me and Taehyung were having fun and got to know more about each other.

(Time: 8:00 am)

     "By the way, i wanna ask you something."

     "What is it?"

     "By any chance, do you like music?"

     "I actually do, but i'm not particularly good at them."

     "Ah, i see; i could help you if you want."

     "No, no, i don't want to trouble you."

     Taehyung still insisted that he would help me with music related things. Was he so passionate about music? I thought he would be more of a dancer. I guess we will never know. We then proceeded to our other class which was english.

(Timeskip to after school)

     "By the way Y/N, where do you live?"

     "Uhm i live near the fields in a rustic home."

     "Wait, we might actually be living near each other!"

     "Really?"

     We went to a nearby convenience store and got ice cream and sat down at a nearby bench and talked about our dreams.

     "I've a passion for music and i want to pursue becoming a saxophonist."

     "Wow, that's a really cool dream!"

     "What about you?"

     "Maybe a guitarist or a producer?"

     "I think your dreams are more cooler than mine."

     Taehyung pouted and my heart skipped a beat when he did that. It was so cute that i couldn't handle it. How do girls in the school not like him? We both then laughed and finished eating our ice cream. I took my bicycle and cycled home while he walked back home.

     I can't wait to see him again tomorrow. I want to spend more time with him.
