Chapter 6: Friends

"Purple means i will trust and love you for a long time."

     I was playing with my phone while strolling along the side of the school. I was too engrossed with my phone. I was playing "Tap Tap Revenge" on my phone. It was addicting for some reason. Rhythm games are really fun to play as i get to challenge myself with the increasing difficulties.

(Taehyung POV)

     "Is that Y/N?"

     I whispered to myself as i squinted my eyes to see clearly. I got closer behind Y/N but he/she didn't notice me. Maybe i should scare him/her.

(Y/N POV)

     "BOO!"

     I shrieked and jolted out of surprise. I turned around and it was Taehyung. He was laughing while i was trying to calm myself down. The other students glanced at us and continued walking to school.

     "I'm so sorry Y/N; the expression you had was priceless!"

     "You mischievious kid."

     "HAHAHAHA"

     I turned my back towards him and continued walking. He stopped laughing and followed beside me.

     "Are you mad at me?"

     "Kind of."

     "I sincerely apologise."

     He even went the extra mile and bowed his head down. I panicked and told him to not do that. It was too embarassing. He chuckled and we both walked beside each other. He is really kind hearted. I still can't believe that i became friends with him. He is too good to be true. Suddenly, i remembered what i wanted to ask him.

     "Hey, do you have a phone?"

     "Yeah i do?"

     "What's your number then?"

     He proceeded to give me his number and i put his name as "Taetae". I gave him my number as well and he gave me a goofy nickname. I didn't mind since i'm used to it back in Busan. We went to our first class and it was English period.

(Time: 7:00 am)

     Since both me and Taehyung sit at the back of the class, i took out my phone and offered Taehyung one side of my earpiece. He took it and put it in his ear. I put up my book to not make it obvious. Our english teacher kept teaching and he's not even facing us once. I played my music playlist and Taehyung was listening to it. I had a mix of English and Korean songs so i hope he didn't mind.

     "Your song choices are diverse."

     "Do you not like it?"

     "No, i didn't say that."

     "It makes me want to explore other genres."

     I let out a smile as we both continued to listen to music. Taehyung bopped his head at some of my song choices and it looked like he was enjoying it.

(Timeskip to after school)

     "Phew, at least i learnt something today."

     "That's good!"

     "I still need help though..."

     "That's what we are going to cover over the weekends, remember?"

     Taehyung smiled and wondered if it was going to be okay with him going to my house. I reassured him that it was fine and it was a chance for him to meet my parents. They were pestering me to bring him to our house. It was getting annoying. We were already at the crossroads where we were supposed to go our separate ways.

     "Let's text later!"

     "Sure!"

(Time: 5:45 pm)

     I reached home and i was playing with Yejin before entering the house. Yejin has gotten accustomed to this new house and it made me happy. I put my school bag in my room and went to the bathroom.

(Time: 6:00 pm)

     I dried my hair and wore my home clothes. I went to the living room to told my parents that Taehyung was coming here. I did not mention his name yet though; just in case. Anyways, i went to feed Yejin before eating dinner with my family.

(Taehyung POV)

     "Grandma, how does your cooking get better each day?"

     "It's simple. I put love in the food i cooked for you."

     Homemade food will always taste good. I don't know how to explain this but it is what it is. I feel like the food my grandma always cooked should be on the menu in a restaurant. I should text Y/N soon.

(Y/N POV)

     "I'm going to text Taehyung about tomorrow."

     I went to my room and find my phone. I sat on my bed and looked at my phone screen. I proceeded to message him.

I just ate, what about you?

Can i come over early tomorrow?

I was about to talk about that ._.

Hahaha i'm sorry

I already told my parents so you could come anytime. Could you bring snacks too?

(Y/N POV)

     I was really excited for tomorrow that i forgot that we were studying. At least i got to spend time with Taehyung. I was smiling like crazy and i threw my pillows around. After a few minutes, i got my shit together and cleaned up before going to sleep.
